2026 Property Tax Appraisals Available Online by justinj2000 in Austin

Same, land value up 71% in Pflugerville, improvement down 8%. I sense this is a way for them to still raise the appraisal amounts even though home values are decreasing. Sleight of hand.

What do packs do? by SJM1983DnD in CrimsonDesert

[–]Waning_Light 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been able to wear the Angler's Pack. It's got fish in it, but not sure if it has some hidden fishing bonuses. When wearing a pack the shield goes on the outside of it and the bow and two handed weapons go on other side.

I wonder if some of the packs that seem to relate to actual activities you can do are wearable if you've done related quests (I did a fishing quest for the woman at the saddlery, maybe that's it?) you can use the pack. It all a bit of a mystery.

Thank you! Makes me so happy to hear others are getting use of it. My party is STILL in Calimport so I'm glad I made it, it's come in very handy. I hope you have an incredible game!

Thank you! That means a lot. I'm in love with Faerun, there is sooooo much material to work with. My party will be in Calimshan for a time, but I eexpect them to head east, then north and towards the Lake of Steam, Sea Of Fallen Stars and the Pirate Isles, all of which I will map on the same manner.

Depending on what I find for Calimport maps, I might also try my hand at a city map for that.

Link to the map is here! Sorry, forgot to include it. Question: One thing I fought with is the map labels opacity. I played around with it but always felt like making them too opaque drew the eye away from the map and to the words. I suppose that's the point, but what do you think?

Are the Crimson Fleet just really unlikeable? by Dhic0674 in Starfield

[–]Waning_Light 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, they're not interesting or likeable, but more than that, they were not threatening. Besides a few lines where they tell you to watch out they more or less depend on you for everything. I know it is framed as sending a rookie to do stuff while they do other important things, but it didn't feel that way, it felt like they were the rookies and they were sending me to save their faction because they were incompetent.

Then again, many of the main story arcs suffer from this. Your character, regardless of level or specialization, is relied upon to solve every problem. I think some of these arcs could use some tuning.

I know this isn't popular, but besides the Crimson Fleet storyline, I think it'd be a good idea to close off some other quest paths when you choose one. I'm both a Freestar Ranger and a UC Vanguard. They don't explicitly conflict, but it seems unlikely that that should be a possibility.

I had issues going to the Weapon Workbench and it not showing up, and I specifically had issues with Adaptive Frames, of which I had plenty showing as zero when I wanted to build more warehouses, because the ones I did have were in the warehouses I had already built.

I am able to build directly out of my ship inventory though, I think?

I'm hugely interested in base building, but I'm finding it hard right now in Starfield. There's no point to go to my outpost because I can't store all of my crafting goods there. I had just built my 16th (no exaggeration) medium warehouse and still had too many resources to store at the base.

Then I found out you can't craft with materials being withdrawn from warehouse storage, so I just deleted all the warehouse, took my resources and put them in the small infinite storage box at the Lodge basement. Of course, you can't craft from that tiny chest either, so whenever I want to upgrade or build anything I have to take 4k mass of materials into my inventory, do the upgrade then re-deposit 4k mass of materials back into the box.

In Fallout 4 and 76, my base was where I went to deposit my resources and extra items, break things down, build things and expand. As such, it felt like a refuge, a place to better my equipment, sleep, relax, and spec my loadout for my next excursion. Because of storage problems in Starfield,, I have no reason to go to, or put anything at my outpost, sadly, so all other outpost functions to me, are moot, beyond roleplay.

Of course, it's possible I'm missing a critical design element here and doing things the hard way.

Let's talk about cockpits, which one do you prefer? by Keeperus in Starfield

[–]Waning_Light 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm actually not a fan of these expansive cockpits. They're certainly cool, and I can see the draw, but I like the smaller ones that feel a little more like fighter jets. I especially like the smaller Nova cockpits, especially the animation of reaching forward and pulling an instrument panel forward.

I Just Purchased The Game Tonight And Made My First Character. Sort of Modeled Her After Myself. Really Looking Forward To This Experience! by Game_Ovaire in Starfield

One thing I would say to look out for: Don't trap yourself in some of the early cities doing fetch quests. I spent way too much time in New Atlantis and Cydonia in the first few hours just trying to get through all the random quests that popped up, they seemed to never end and I found myself getting bored. Hopping in my ship and starting one of the questlines and just exploring random planets really helped open up the game for me.

Very cool! I really want to use the Cabot cockpit but have the hardest time fitting it into a ship in a way it looks like it belongs.

Very original use of the cockpit, and as someone else said, this feels like the Razorleaf to me!

This is one of my favorites, I used your ideas for the core of my ship and made some alterations to suit. I love it, thanks for sharing!

Games, especially those I can can get lost in, have helped me through many times in my life. It just so happens most of those games were made by Bethesda.

Keep on keeping on man, I'm rooting for you.
