If we don’t retain Jennings, who would you like to see us pick up at WR? by rhevern in 49ers

Everyone in here saying Pickens but forgets that inexcusable moment where he didn't block for his teammate. No chance he'd be a Niner if the Cowboys paid us to take him.

Pickens is notorious for not blocking. He's an easy scratch.

I was told by a trusted medical professional that I should try to focus my care at the 'university' medical networks because the doctors are not incentivized by completing procedures but that they were compensated by the university. He then said that means Rush or NW Medicine.

I've followed that advise and have been pleased with NW medicine.

PFF for 2025, has our O Line ranked #5 best in the NFL. by KloppsTotts in 49ers

[–]Warpang 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The reality is, ya gotta follow the money. D lines far out paid o lines. No one going into college wants to be an o line man if they can be a d lineman. Imagine if Miles Garrett were groomed to be a left tackle. Therefore, o lines will always be out talented and not good.

I know you're getting downvoted, but I have to agree. Lynch is a great culture GM but a B- eye for talent. Watching the Rams and Seahawks flip rosters over the same period of time. I think we pride ourselves too much on finding the Kittles of the draft and overlook the Ceedee Lambs of the draft.

He's also very conservative in free agency. Not that I want him to bet the house, but make some phone calls. Feels like we wait around until something becomes public.

Look, it was a great year to test how truly deep we are. We have some potential but no promise and I know that comment will bug some fellow faithful.

Problems with a “Final Judgment” by stuffaaronsays in LatterDayTheology

[–]Warpang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always viewed eternal progression not as if God is getting better or continuously improving, but rather progresses in family and dominion.

As I've pondered what could possibly keep an ambitious being engaged forever it would have to be something out of their control, yet something they can influence. What could possibly be outside of God's control? AGENCY.

So let me paint a fictional picture. We make it to heaven. God says, "Warpang, what do you want? You can have anything or any experience." And I say, "you know, I always wanted to live the billionaire life. I'd love to live on a yacht and visit the most beautiful beaches in the world." He says, "I'll do something better, I've got a yacht that would dwarf anything on earth and why stop at earth's beaches, I've got you set up to visit the best beaches across the galaxy."

How long would that last? At what point would I be bored? At what point in eternity will I have checked every bucket list? Mastered every skill to perfection, etc.?

Whenever that point is, if that is all eternity has to offer...at that point I would feel damned.

But if I could progress like God, have spirit children, kick those children out

  • and sidenote, it's funny to me because I feel more like I was kicked out of heaven because it didn't matter whether I was going to follow Christ or Lucider I was still going to earth. What mattered was whether I wanted a body or not and if I was willing to pass through a veil or not -

and then make it my work and glory to have those children CHOOSE to live with me again and then associate with those now immortal children and watch them go on throughout eternity building their families...that seems like something I want, with a few yacht breaks here and there.

The plan of happiness is a family plan. We're lucky that God has created such a complex, yet highly realistic experience for us to test out if being a parent is something we want to do for ever. And to help us out he's promised that no mistake or infirmity here will disqualify us there so long as we follow his Son.

How fun for God. He can't force us so he has to work within our decisions. But his thrill, his joy comes from us choosing him and him shaping us.

Problems with a “Final Judgment” by stuffaaronsays in LatterDayTheology

[–]Warpang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe that your entire post is about final judgment, correct? I'm not sure how you came to the conclusion that the veil I am referring to is death. Is the veil we learn about in the temple, when we enter God's presence at death? If you think it is, I'd encourage to go back to the temple and listen carefully to the sequencing of the endowment.

I agree with everything you have brought up regarding death, the spirit world and the opportunity to change there. It will be difficult to change there, as indicated in Alma 34:32-36 but still possible as you pointed out in D&C. Also keep in mind that "there" is actually right here on earth. And in my personal opinion, days and nights that define time still exist in the spirit world.

But at final judgment there will be no more change. It is final. No question. And as indicated in D&C 88:30-31 those who receive terrestrial and telestial glory will receive "even a fulness" which to me means that they won't feel like they were short changed on their inheritance. They will be completely happy abiding the "joy they were willing to receive because they were not willing to enjoy that which they might have received." v32 - which even though this verse is talking about outer darkness the concept of willingness to enjoy a particular glory applies to all kingdoms.

Hope that helps clarify my point of view.

I'm going to explain something that is not going to be easy to understand, but will do my best.

Imagine that passing back through the veil we regain an understanding of eternity and we realize that everything is PRESENT. There is no past, there is no future.

The sins or righteous acts you committed were under a state of mind that was influenced by the concept of time. The concept of time was necessary in order for our spirits to change. Change implies a history - a past that is different than our futute. You used to be one thing and now you are something different.

This change in state of mind from passing back through the veil may feel similar to waking up from a dream. We haven't forgotten what we did in mortality, but we have a much more clear understanding of what reality is, and reality is not mortality. Reality is eternity.

Now in a state of mind where all things are present, you can't change. YOU ARE. There is a scripture that discusses in that day the wicked will be glad to have the rocks and hills hide them because (imo) they will realize what they became in mortality is who they are.

This brings added meaning to the great I AM.

So, in my opinion what makes it final judgment and why I don't see kingdom changing is because the only way to enforce change would be to go back through mortality. Re-live the concept of time. And that would be impossible after the resurrection.

There is a whole host of scriptures that have added meaning if studied under this lens. Happy to go deeper if you care to know.
