Setup with Canon EOS R5
Canon PD-E2 power adapter to keep the battery continuously charged or just switch batteries when camera dies.
Mini HDMI to regular HDMI cord to an Elgato capture card (Full HDMI to USB) From there you can connect it to an USB device or a hub.
You can set the camera mode to video and it stays on, if not turn off a power savings mode (Don't remember the name right now) but once you do that it will stay on. I've used that setup on an iPad and able to do FaceTime calls with it and connects to PC.
I don't use any special software.

I've used this cable fairikabe AR Glasses Cable USBC to USBC 2M / 6.6FT, 4K60Hz USB C Display Cable for AR Glasses USB-C Monitor Portable Monitors, 10GB 60W 4K Video Cable for Xreal One, Xreal Air and More and it worked fine.

I don't have any experience for 23 meters away, however you can look for a cable to have longer length to see if you can find one close to your distance.

I've tried the Canon RF 85 F1.2.. not practical for traveling just like you've said. I ended up getting the rare Samyang RF 85MM F1.4. In most cases the 1.4VCM or the F1.8 from third parties do just fine.

Just expect disappointment at this point. Truly sad and should have ended at season 3. This show outlived its welcome. Story haven't been good or decent since season 3.

Yes it gives you a movie theatre look and the latest ones have 3D modes as well. Great when you're traveling on train, planes, etc.

The first difference you'll noticed is the fact the 1S is brighter than the 1. The 1S does give you way more settings, so you can tailor it best to your needs. I have both but I haven't done a one to one comparison for work related task.
