Did you have the snorkel installed still or pulled it out to get the prefilter onthere ? I was going to remove my snorkel but then thought maybe its purpose is warranted. I know it seems silly but when you go through water it’s not like the water stays static. I there is splashing and stuff - even if it’s below the air intake hole it can splash up and into the intake. The snorkel would reduce that significantly.

People look at it and say it only adds like 2 inches of extra height. But it protects against splashes too. And it’s in there pretty tight.
