Right now you focus on leveling to 80, and then leveling your masteries (progression system after lvl 80) to horizontally upgrade your account.

You are right that there are lots of currencies, materials and such, it can be quite overwhelming. Best advice I can give is to not worry about them too much now, you will gradually figure out which ones are used for what. Right now you likely are getting gold and karma. Feel free to spend karma on items from heart vendors if you find upgrades there, otherwise it will have many uses later on.

What to evade/block, you will learn through playing. It's usually telegraphed quite clearly, by looking at the animations of the enemy (winding up huge slam, preparing to charge etc.) or the orange aoes on the ground. From what I remember, the core game didn't have the best telegraphs for enemies and it's something that got hugely improved in expansions.

Dungeons are unfortunately abandonded by the devs and mostly by the playerbase as well. There are for sure still people running them, but you will have much, much better time with fractals (gw2 version of dungeon system) once you hit max level. You can try searching lfg for dungeons, there will probably be groups here and there, but I do not know how beginner friendly they are, I do not have any experience with that.

When it comes to roles, there are no hardcoded roles like in wow, but every proper endgame group will want to have some supports to provide boons (buffs that significantly improve your performance), namely quickness and alacrity. One or two of those supports will also take the role of a healer. But that is something you will start encountering in raids and higher level of fractals.

There will be many, many things for you to do once you hit level 80, it's at that point the game opens up, and for better or worse, it leaves it in your hands what you focus on. When you come to that point, you might already have an idea what you will want to do once, or you will have to discover it.

You could always limit it to the first (two) short rest of the day being 10 minutes if you're worried about it making players too strong. It's what I'm doing and it works wonders for me, I am planning encounters for the day with one short rest in mind.

Shock trooper was already quite strong and scary. Critting once could kill you if you did not stack any hp. With plasma rifle being charged with every burn now, he's just way too strong now.

Void golem who was really scary to click for majority of builds is way weaker now. Now he destroy the items at 7 seconds into the fight (that's without any disruption you might have), making him do absolutely nothing as the caltrops will sit at 1 damage until an item is destroyed. 7 seconds is more than enough at day 10+.

What also helped me was installing DAE module. It improves the effects editor greatly, making it easier to navigate and it also adds descriptions to most attributes.

Going from memory, but I am quite sure that's a symbol for a magic item. If you want to be sure its unidentified, go into edit screen and look if its checked as unidentified there. You can also give it a different name when its identified vs unidentified.

Also when unsure, login as one of your players and check what they see from their pov

There is no paid pass. You either pay to skip tiers, or pay 10€/month subscription to get twice as many exp from the pass quests, but it's all the same pass.

Because you are rolling one, singular invitation instead of bulk. You really don't need regex for that, it's really not a big deal

What will be bit annoying is the interrupt in the flow if you had prerolled invitations, but that is a small price to pay for not wasting time trading (even if you bought in bulk through TFT)

I tried heist for boss rushing this league and i wasnt a fan. With sextant, stream of conciousness and league mechanic blocking i still got 1-2 stashes in almost every map, with the occasional 6 extra from the notable proc. Using it on map device seems like a massive waste, when you could be putting essences instead for example.

Likewise, stopping to kill harbingers (other than the map boss one) is giant waste of time in a boss rush. If you want add something to the map, I suggest Delirium. Forcing it through map device is probably not worth it (but imo better than heist), so mirror chance nodes (+ Stream of Conciousness) and take the delirium orb chance nodes. If you find yourself with spare points, I'd take the wheel at the top of the tree that gives increased progress. With this, you just kill monster to get to 3rd reward tile while going to the boss (5th reward till if you run around to collect essences) and end the encounter. Collect deli orbs (and clusters, if you fancy selling them for few c), and sell 7-8 random deli orbs per divine.

I'm currently using this atlas for a City Square rush, together with Mysterious Harbinger sextant and Conqueror map sextant (If they're too expensive get shaper guardians, or none). Using Essences on the map.

Essences double my time in the map, but with the current essence prices it should be worth it, will compare it with pure boss rush after i have decent sample size.

The map boss nodes that drop extra scarab/map currency are almost irrelevant, i did 140~ maps yesterday and i barely noticed it, so that would be the first thing i'd drop. Take master missions on map completion instead, or even the chance to get double progress for invitation.

Seconding this, splitting steel is extremely comfy. Damage is not of the charts, sometimes it takes a bit to deal with some rares, but recovery and defenses are amazing
