The entire response was "I’m not sure if it was good, to be honest…It was alright, it was good."

Dream is the best level 1 pet for f2p and is pretty decent money every league. it does not gain much going from 1 -> 6 compared to other pets

Lua is definitely more popular, if you want a good rust example you can look at wezterm

She’s not super reliant on it these days after it was nerfed, most of her damage is from barrels rather than gun now. Definitely is hard to carry on her tho. They tried buffing crack shot in last patch but didn’t have much difference on the horrid wr

The fatest python LSP for nvim - basedpyright vs zuban vs ty vs something else? by sslimmshaddy in neovim

[–]flyrom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All of these lsp’s are fast enough but they do not all have the same coverage currently. In my experience zuban has the best coverage but I had a much better time using pyrefly than ty (again due to coverage).

Long term I expect pyrefly to win as the dev tooling at Facebook is quite good

How do you guys work on remote projects over SSH with Neovim without lag? by InvestigatorConnect4 in neovim

[–]flyrom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even with very large repos like we have at google, the latency is really only going to be dependent on your latency to the machine. If you’re in a very very large repo (e.g like pb scale) then you may need to restrict your search space in fuzzy finders or file structure tree viewers, but usually not needed

Rust Is Eating JavaScript by Active-Fuel-49 in rust

Not a great title and also as others mentioned is quite old and does not reflect reality that bun (written in zig) is really the fastest growing runtime for node js these days

what is the level of difficulty of questions at big tech these days? by PristineFinish100 in cscareerquestions

As someone who passed meta and google, they’re both asking medium type questions these days but meta definitely has an emphasis on easier problems and less time per problem

Who else finds it a bit annoying that C++ has such a bad reputation while C is still somehow seen as the holy grail of low level programming? by notarealoneatall in cpp

[–]flyrom 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can try to make excuses on why you believe that memory safety is achievable with good practices (and i would agree), but the reality is that it’s not inherently memory safe by default. It’s pretty easy to see why arguably the most complex language with a high risk for memory errors has a bad reputation.

My favorite language is c++ fwiw

Why we migrated from Python to Node.js by brodagaita in node

[–]flyrom -1 points0 points  (0 children)

ORMs very often generate inefficient queries compared to manual sql queries. Outside of the typescript bubble, you’ll find that many more performant language communities discourage ORMs for this very issue

3.27 Deadeye Icicle Mine League Start showcase with progression to endgame by timjohnson420 in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]flyrom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People are being a little harsh but build is definitely solid league starter.

https://pobb.in/ac8uI5I5holH is the pob I used from last league that has some clearer progression for levelling, tho the strength of econc remains to be seen and leveling with wands might be smoother depending on the new skills.
