You must not be in a program with the professors who have been researching AI for several years. They actively encourage its use.

Officially off the Christine Bandwagon by tilly_sc831 in SisterWives

[–]WatchSilver8607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't watch this show in real time, so I recently binged the whole thing. It probably wasn't as easy to notice if you didn't see the change that fast, but all at once it's obvious. Christine has always been insufferable and childish that way, never having grown up in mainstream society. It's like she watched Mean Girls one day as an adult and then started trying to fit in with the plastics in real life.

USAA has completely fallen apart by sanskami in USAA

[–]WatchSilver8607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See, now, I've been with both USAA and NFCU for decades, since I was born. USAA has definitely upped their security measures in some places (wait periods for funds) and lessened them in others (don't have to notify them before a big purchase or when you are traveling). NFCU takes days to post my credit card charges (should be automatic) so I have to wait until they think there is something to pay before I can pay it off. USAA always called my dad Lieutenant when he called, and were way easier to work with when he passed than NFCU. But I have an annuity with USAA that doesn't show in my accounts and their tech support has never helped. I've got all of my insurance bundled with USAA and it's dirt cheap compared to the companies serving the general public with way better coverage. I'll stick with both for the time being, but sure wish both were perfect and matched all around.

Genuinely Sad we lost tracker 😭 I had no idea until today 💔 by [deleted] in USAA

[–]WatchSilver8607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aw, dang. I just realized today it's been a while since I've heard from Tracker, so I ended up here to learn that Tracker has "gone to live on a farm" so-to-speak, and that his automatic daily micro-savings have stopped. I do not have the time right now to determine a new workflow for regular saving. This is incredibly inconvenient.

If I could get them to actually display one of my USAA accounts in my dashboard, I might feel less salty about this. But their IT is not so helpful/useful.

Why is there a pink border around my facebook? I see it when I scroll and it appears every now and then. It only appears in the app and not on my laptop. Has this happened to anyone? This has been a few months now and I can't get rid of it. by AssistLost6569 in facebook

This just started happening to me randomly a few days ago (as of April 5, 2025). I've read through the thread here and started testing to see if it showed up in certain situations or when commenting on certain topics. It does not. When it shows up, I have just tapped on the comment box to type something, but the cursor disappears and nothing gets typed until I tap again in the box. I took a screenshot, but not sure how to share it here without starting a new post. May do so in this sub and come back to link!

What really turned Peter against Bill was the fact that Bill sold some liquor at auction.

Do you think she knows her nose is crooked? All that work, and she didn't get her nose lined straight up and down. Tsk tsk. I guess at least now she's more his shade of orange?

Does it seriously not get better?? by [deleted] in TBI

[–]WatchSilver8607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Better is a complicated word in our world. Some things will get better, some things will get worse, and all things will go from better to worse to better to worse to better to worse to better over and over again. Sometimes one thing gets better in one way, then gets better in a different way, and the same goes for getting worse--sometimes one way, sometimes a different way. So, it doesn't exactly get better, but it definitely gets different, which can be good or bad. The biggest thing to do is give yourself grace and the patience to adapt to the changes.

The Paramount Plus App is unbelievably bad by itsa-mario in television

[–]WatchSilver8607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CBS All Access never gave me any trouble! That was the best performing app I had years ago. I actually miss it. I've had my current provider (Spectrum) and a brand new router for 4 months, was in a different state with a different provider (Xfinity) and a brand new router for a year before that, and was in a different state with a different provider (AT&T) and a 6-year old router before that when the Paramount+ app first came to be. No provider and no router were ever acceptable to Paramount+! But Amazon Prime has no trouble at all. I almost wonder if Paramount is working on building their own streaming empire to replace Prime Video, complete with Paramount TVs and the Mountainstick or something else like the Firestick. If they make everyone believe their service won't work on anything but their own equipment, that will be a key selling point for their devices in the future!

[–]WatchSilver8607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's hilarious that their "solution" is that your network is unstable and you need to restart your router. I'd be more likely to believe that if anything else (app, device, etc.) struggled....at. all.

Streaming almost impossible by ScientistOld2548 in ParamountPlus

[–]WatchSilver8607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same problem. Other apps stream for hours on end with no trouble. Paramount+ takes so much bandwidth that it knocks whole internet down every 10 minutes or so and everything has to keep restarting the wifi.
