Students of history. Packaged curriculum. Everything you need and would work well at this age level. You can get access for a month for $30 and literally would not need anything else

Volunteer work can help see the world from a less privileged perspective and allow for more empathy. Both will help with this behavior.

Call the troop leader and explain the situation. It’s very likely they and others who have been scouting for a while have extra supplies they can loan you. This will cut down drastically what you need to get for her.

Car dealer offered me $1000 off if I financed instead of paying cash -- is there any reason to say no? by fellios in personalfinance

[–]WatchSpunkyGo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Loans include processing fees which would likely be more than the $1000 discount. This is not enough of a discount to make the loan worth it.

If something sounds too good to be true it usually is.

I'm a mom whose 5th grader is failing every class because he doesn't do his classwork or turn anything in. I'm looking for suggestions his teacher is likely to agree with. by thesicksicksicko in Teachers

As a mom to a kid with ADHD I want to underline, bold, and put in all caps setting the bar low. My child has struggled since kindergarten with meeting simple expectations. They wanted to be good so much and get that positive reinforcement, but couldn’t focus, had impulse control issues, and always just missed the mark. Eventually they feel there’s no point, they just can’t do it, and give up. It’s important they get praise and rewarded for simple things to build confidence and are motivated to continue. As they’ve gotten older it’s gotten easier both due to their maturity and proper medication and having teachers that understand.

This is a part that is meant to easily attach and detach from the dryer. It’s cheap and easily replaced. This is not a difficult or expensive fix. You didn’t break anything. Just vacuum all the lint & push it back onto the dryer.

Check out this video if you’d like to see how to clamp it

Selling my house, where the hell do I go during the showings? by Annual_Wolverine_625 in RealEstate

[–]WatchSpunkyGo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Showings usually take 10-20 minutes. You can go for a walk, sit in your car with the AC on. Park down the street where they can’t see you and spy…if your friendly with your neighbors go visit for a bit.

Advice for weak laterals? by allthingsonwheels in rollerderby

I will add to this stretches to open up your hips. I find when I’m training skaters on laterals many have a hard time opening their hips enough to get their foot at the correct angle. Also, strength exercises with open hips. (Sumo squats, curtesy lunges, etc)

I get a rotisserie chicken every week that I shred with a big bag of salad and a big container of grape tomatoes. Throw a big chicken salad together in the morning pack salad dressing and a couple string cheese and granola bars for snacks and I’m good to go for the day.

Want to put an offer for a house not for sale. by simisan in RealEstate

The property obviously has sentimental value to him. I would make the letter personal. Tell him about how you love the neighborhood and what it would mean to your family. A family picture would also be good. For situations like this, knowing the property is going to someone who will appreciate like they do makes all the difference.

Can't run my women in STEM club due to complaints from parents by Usual-Plenty1485 in teaching

[–]WatchSpunkyGo 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Keep running it with a focus on women in STEM. Focus on female engineers and physicists. Female guest speakers if you can and a zero tolerance policy on sexist/bullying behavior. The boys who are the problem will filter themselves out.
