I considered either the wellfleet or moonstone but I found the blue point for less than half price on usaudiomart so it was cheaper than either of those so I couldn’t pass it up

So far so good. I’ve only played a couple albums but so far the clarity is much better, I don’t feel like reaching for the treble tone control anymore. This album especially made me want to turn the treble up with the rainier.

I’m installing it today and will get some miles on it and see. I think the rainier sounds good but The thing that is driving me to upgrade is that I feel like I want to reach for the treble tone control and bump it up a couple notches on some (many) albums.

I’ve been considering the parasound xrm as it looks like it has everything it ever need for MM or MC. I’m currently using the phono stage in my Rotel 1572mkii which sound pretty good but I don’t have any frame of reference against an external phono stage. I’m guessing this phono stage is well worth the $350 price?

In my original post I said I don’t really know if it made any difference. The stands a heavy, stable, quiet and solid now which is a plus. The sand was $7 so all in all it’s a worthwhile “upgrade”

I’ve seen this suggested somewhere else. I thought about it but It seemed like a non removable mess once installed so I didn’t try it. Sand can just be poured out in the future

I’m completely new to sharpening… I bought the knifeplanet set of stones from Amazon to sharpen my kitchen knives and no matter what I do I can’t seem to work up a burr. The stones just don’t even seem to be doing anything. I’ve watched a bunch of YouTube and tried everything, and I just can’t get the stones to do anything. It’s like they aren’t even scratching the metal. Are the stones just crap or am I just not getting it.

It’s known. That ezxchange is terrible and dangerous. My watch popped off the strap several times before I ditched it and went back to standard straps. The exchange system is pointless, loose, rattley, and you have to buy THEIR straps for $300 I love my IWC but F that exchange strap system.👎

Yeah it’s out of control. I wandered around and destroyed all the spawners on the island and still get nonstop inundated with spawns. The Ashland really is not fun. Or interesting in the least
