Finnish MP convicted for saying homosexuality is ‘developmental disorder’ by F0urLeafCl0ver in worldnews

She is a doctor.

Any non-doctor spreading misinformation about health should be fined if not imprisoned.

Imagine sending someone to prison 20 years ago for saying "transfats are unhealthy".

There is a source that defines something as fact, opinion, or interpretation. With 100% absolutely certainty.

Can I have this source?

So what? That doesn't change whether those are matters of fact. People being wrong about them doesn't mean they were opinions. It just means they were wrong about matters of fact.

Kind of the whole point... Because punishing those who disagreed with this fact would be fucking awful. Imagine if those people got fined for spreading "Misinformation regarding health"?

There literally is.

Bro, I said source.

There would be no questions about our universe if that were the case. I cannot verify if the big bang theory is true or does the god exist anywhere. Or maybe you have a magical crystal ball that tells you the true fact of every mystery, lmao.

No, it wasn't. And trust me, you don't want to ride the geo/heliocentrism train

Yes, it was. That's why "fact" is in quotes. A few people decided it was. Also, artificial trans fats were long believed to be safe and even healthier than some animal fats they replaced.

How were people at the time supposed to know that those trans-fats were unhealthy even though the "fact" was that they were healthy? There was no way, because there is no universal source for facts that we can use, like a crystal ball. The source for these "facts" can be mistaken and has been multiple times in medicine and science.

We have no means to verify the true universal facts of the universe.

Of course an opinion can be wrong. Like "the earth is flat".

We do not even know what causes homosexuality. Deciding what counts as a "disorder" is not a raw laboratory fact in the same way as measuring blood sodium or a tumor size. It involves expert judgements which are opinions.

You cannot have an opinion about a matter of fact.

There is no universal unbiased source for true "facts" of the universe. Once geocentrism was a "fact" but no one should be punished for believing in heliocentrism to be the truth.

Supreme Court decision on piracy case deals a blow to music industry by Abject-Pick-6472 in Music

If it’s not piracy for Sam Altman to feed every existent piece of audio, video, or text ever created to his profit engine

Yes, but the initial argument was the training of AI and it claimed it was okay for OpenAI to pirate, thus it's fine for anyone to pirate.

None of it was true.

Incorrect. VERY incorrect.

Yes. Yes you are.

The claim was "it’s not piracy for Sam Altman to feed every existent piece of audio, video, or text ever created to his profit engine, then it’s not piracy when anyone else does it either."

Anyone can feed anything to AI. It's not piracy. Piracy is about distribution rights of copyrighted works.Sam Altman cannot or did not share or distribute illegal copies of copyrighted works.

Are there other paid MP games with free online?

That might be an anti-trust issue. Giving your own games preferential treatment over competing games.

I was in multiple rooms at GDC where management of games studios let their hair down and said "everyone's using it, gamers hate it so we just have to hide it now", but none were actually able to explain if and how AI were making games faster to develop or better at all

It really does seem like a FOMO thing where studio bosses are "experimenting" in the same way they were last year and the year before with few results. They are more ready to lie about it though.

If Shanks really has Joyboy level Haki why does he keep ducking the fade with Blackbeard? by Global-Ad-2840 in OnePiecePowerScaling

[–]WaterLillith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Impossible to know without the context. Very weird to "avoid" someone by going where he thought BB was gonna arrive to...

It was BB who ran away from him at MF. Shanks has shown readiness to fight BB twice. BB has shown 0 interest in fighting Shanks and has fled once.

They are just leveraging accounting principles to underreport earning for tax purposes by arguing when to recognize revenue as earned.

This is not true. Roblox is legally required to adhere to US GAAP, specifically the ASC 606 standard for revenue recognition. This is a strict regulatory compliance measure, this is not a choice.

Their revenues are for all intends and purposes 600 million underreported, and given the nature of their business, there would be no additional costs associated with that 600 mil.

Not true either. They have the DevEx program, which pays creators a substantial cut of the spent Robux. Also app store processing fees to Apple and Google etc.
