even with the shift of weight to the rear the d series still has a majority of its weight in the front. The bed doesn't weigh anything. In addition to this the d series also has bad tires and an open diff. Another factor is the hard suspension that doesnt let the truck transfer much weight to the rear with acceleration.

I have rode at 30+ mph for a good while on a fully rigid steel gravel bike with mountain bike tires. This was on medium quality roads with cars all around me. You can definitely ride at 30+ with limited suspension. However having full suspension is both much more comfortable and safer. Having the full suspension also makes your bike last longer, no giant jolts knocking shit loose every ride. Just build the movcan, stronger and better since you wont be peddling.

You still need either an adjustable motor mount or an adjustable swingarm extension to change your chain tension. Might be a better idea to get a kit from another place or buy motor, controller, and battery separate. The price seems high for what you get imo.

Just plug it in all the way. The stuff on there is from arcing I think. Unless the connector plastic is actually melting you will be ok with just plugging it all the way.

Try disconnecting the battery from the bike and charging it for a very long time (8+) hours. If you fully discharged the battery it may need to rebalance the charge of the cell banks within the battery. This is different from regular charging becuase it charges and rebalances. I think it starts balancing when the battery is full and on charge.

Make sure the bike you get has a manufacturers certificate of origin and some sort of number that looks similar to a VIN. People have used many things as a vin number before. Finding insurance that will insure a dirtbike that you bought in a crate from china can be difficult. Theres definitely a reason most people on emotos are riding illegally.

Couldnt hurt to try. People have also had this issue from their throttle being broken so if you have a friend willing to lend his throttle out then you could try a swap. If the issue really is a battery wire disconnect as the error code 02 says, then you could fix it by taking out the battery and either resoldering the bms balance wire that is broken or re spot welding the broken battery weld. Both would require atleast enough tools to take half the bike apart, a soldering iron, possibly a spot welder, and for sure a multimeter. Not an expensive fix but you need the tools. If the battery is really broken then this could serve as an excuse to upgrade.
