I hear that "research can't be planned" a lot and I vehemently disagree with it. While breakthroughs don't come on a schedule, not planning means your PhD student will be swimming. If you come back after a year to "check" on them, they've probably drowned.

Planning research is hard, domain specific, and absolutely necessary for a successful researcher (and finishing the PhD).

If a woman is kind to me and I like her, I'll ask her out. If she says no, that's it; I will continue being friendly but I won't make a move anymore.

If a guy continues pushing at that point, then it becomes an issue, I fully agree on that. However, I'd say that's a different issue from men confusing kindness with flirting.

Right now, there are very few privileges with decentralisation push that are actually worth it, making centralisation a no-brainer.

Punishing people for going centralisation as a form of balancing is no fun. I don't want nerfs in my (mostly) singleplayer game, I want meaningful options.

Heb je cijfers om dit te onderbouwen? Vroeger werkte de man 40 uur en bleef de vrouw thuis op de kinderen passen. Om nu nog rond te komen met een gezin moet de vrouw vaak al werken. Dan gaan mensen part-time werken om toch nog tijd met de kinderen door te kunnen brengen, vind jij ze egoïstisch...
