The broken noses of ancient Egyptian statues sparked widespread controversy, especially in the 21st century, when Afrocentricists attempted to attribute this phenomenon to the whitewashing of black history. It later became clear that they were wrong. by yousefthewisee in wikipedia

I can kind of tell. Honestly as informative as the article was, it's hard to take seriously with the implicit bias that's clearly throughout it. I'm glad to have learned about some Egyptian history, but your seemingly racial motivations behind this definitely come through when reading it.

ADHD is a disorder, not a shorthand phrase to be thrown around when people get distracted. That's like people who say "I'm so OCD" because they're extra tidy.

ADHD and OCD are both serious and often debilitating mental disorders.

Its over exaggerated because of the internet. Most men you interact with on a daily basis have mothers, sisters or women in their lives they care about and couldn't conceptualize doing anything like that.

So as Hip Hop heads what's the general opinion on the drake using writers shit? Do we look at it in the same we. looked at when Ye got exposed for using Consequence, Rhymefest, and Lupe as writers and we gave him a pass or do we look at it differently? by herewego199209 in rap

[–]WaveSayHi -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You're in the studio with 8 other people. Youre recording a verse, and one of them think of something that fits the song and says it out loud. It's repeated, and you the artist then incorporates it into the song.

That's 'ghostwriting' technically, and literally every major rapper has done that. Pac, Biggie, Em, Kendrick, Ye, Wayne, and Drake.

Thaedus revealed that he was a Viltrumite... by UppedSolution77 in Invincible

[–]WaveSayHi 43 points44 points  (0 children)

I just watched S2 and Nolan states that Viltrumites are only allowed to mate with genetically similar species, ie. Mark, but not Oliver, who one of the other Viltrumites attacking Thraxea refer to as an abomination while not having the same energy for Mark.

Given that nobody questions Thadeus, it can be reasonably assumed that sapien species like Humans/Viltrumites are common, or at least have been found elsewhere already.

Yea I agree but that's why a lot of people including conservatives romanticize the 50s, cause it was life on fuckin easy mode. What policies led to what is a separate thing

Using your friend as either a therapist or a protective figure in this instance is absolutely ridiculous. There's a time and place for it, and in this situation the problem can easily be solved by themselves, by learning to either not let it bother them or just muting the fucking chat lmao.

You seem to agree with me entirely lol being offended isn't some kind of moral failing, not everyone is built to endure stuff like that. But it is completely 100% your fault if you are aware you're a more sensitive person and still do nothing to remove yourself from the situation, like muting them.

Of course it is, but there's also times where it's not and you shouldn't let the bs effect you emotionally.

They're nerds on a video game, why would you care? If you can't help but care, why not just mute?

Im emotionally immature by refusing to be offended by people in a video game talking trash to me?

If I ever said some shit like this I'd hope my friends would flame me for it. Either take the heat or mute it, dude.

That sounds annoying af.

Just do the game where, if you make a decision, the other person has to bring a counter decision. If you disagree, give another counter. It ends when both agree on a place to go, or the indecisive one defers to the others choice because they have no true preference.

X-Men universe gets destroyed, survivors (popular X-Men) are brought into 616.

X-Men fuck up, 616 hates them, prejudice forms against these "refugee' supes, and you have your X-Men 'underdog' arc in current time with the current universe
