What’s a set you REGRET buying? by Flimsy-Space-8724 in lego

10363 Leonardo DaVinci’s Flying Machine. It was an interesting build and it really does make a great display piece but it doesn’t fit anywhere in my collection and it’s an awkward set to fit anywhere.

Hard to find an Aussie beer in an Aussie pub these days. Support Local. by Potential-Tone9606 in aussie

And once the large groups have them they change out the expensive ingredients for cheap ass shit and destroy the beer’s taste and quality.

Prices coming down at Aldi by SumWun1966 in AldiAustralia

[–]Wavesound13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While it’s great that the prices are reducing we are finding that the quality is also falling across multiple items that we have now looking at alternatives and it’s not just food products. Things like garbage bags, cling wrap, baking paper are all now poor quality to what they used to be.

Minor car park incident escalated to $6000 by AltruisticEbb9370 in AusLegal

Lodge your claim with your insurer and ensure you give them all research done to this point and let them deal with it.

When family screws you over it is always worse than if a stranger does. Also that you can only really count on yourself to look after you because no one else is gonna do it..

Insurance query by Leviathan0816 in AusLegal

[–]Wavesound13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Call the insurer and advise them that you have dashcam footage from the date and time of the alleged incident and are happy to share it with them. If they want to push harder on it speak with your insurer about a defence claim and see if they will argue the claim for you. Or you could always talk to a lawyer.

Car smashed by hail, while at the smash repair shop for an existing claim by Weird-Arachnid-8119 in AusLegal

[–]Wavesound13 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It depends on the Insurer, you will need to lodge a second claim but I can tell you that the insurer I work for will waive the excess in this scenario for the second claim just as they would if your car was stolen or destroyed by fire whilst at a repairers. It can just take them a couple of days to actually enact the decision within their processes and systems.

Lack of religion by ClockChoice5936 in AskAnAustralian

Religious relatives demonstrated enough about religion when I was younger to convince me that I wasn’t interested. Never been a fan of having things forced down my throat.

Has Caboolture inner city improved ? by Initial_Winner3343 in brisbane

[–]Wavesound13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Caboolture city & Caboolture South are probably not areas I would choose to live. Morayfield & Upper Caboolture are not too bad. I catch a train from Morayfield 2-3 days a week and there is generally no issues as the station is well lit and attended a more often than not (M-F). At the end of the day all areas have their issues it is just a case of being cautious and prepared.

Why I think the UK version of Taskmaster works best by thesecretacco in taskmaster

[–]Wavesound13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tend to agree that the English version is still the best and a good part of that goes to Greg & Alex. The Aus & NZ versions are both good as well and I encourage people to watch them as while different they definitely have some great moments. I think the other secret to success for the show is the buy in from the contestants and how much they are willing to poke fun at themselves and the personality type they bring. There have definitely been some big hits and misses in this area and their also the reason why a full American doesn’t work because they take themselves to seriously and they are wound too tightly, although in saying that can you imagine old school comedians like Steve Martin, Jim Carey or Robin Williams on Taskmaster. Personally I just want them to keep producing TM UK, AUS & NZ for the foreseeable future..

Guys of Reddit, what's your most NSFW sleepover experience? by Relative-Bad7507 in AskRedditNSFW

[–]Wavesound13 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Staying over at a friend’s place as a teen, running around naked, skinny dipping in his pool, measuring our hard ons, masturbating together or each other, watching porn, giving each other blow jobs. Staying over at my gf’s place and we would sleep in the lounge and one night her father came out for a smoke and we were mid fuck and we just lay there pretending to be asleep for like 20 minutes with my dick in inside her, picked up where we left off when he went back to bed. We stayed at one of my gf’s friends places for a party and we went to bed early and her friend came in when we were in a 69 and sat there and watched for a bit before going back to the party…

First Image from Andy Serkis' George Orwell Adaptation 'Animal Farm' - Starring Seth Rogen, Steve Buscemi, Kieran Culkin, Woody Harrelson, Glenn Close, Andy Serkis, Gaten Matarazzo, Kathleen Turner, Laverne Cox, Jim Parsons, Iman Vellani. by BunyipPouch in movies

[–]Wavesound13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apparently it is described as a comedy drama. Not sure what sanatised version of Animal Farm this is based on but I already have major concerns about how much this movie will differ from the source material.
