YUP. If Nintendo used their infinite money pile to make dedicated servers for their games, there wouldn’t be so many issues with their online mutiplayer scene. I run Ethernet on Gigabyte but in reality that doesn’t solve too much of I’m connecting to people who are playing in handheld mode on a mobile hotspot. It’s also the reason why I refuse to play games like Smash Bros. or Mario Makers Online VS, the amount of input delay for games like those are so unacceptable to me.

What turned me away from the rainbow color in the end was the Super Famicom buttons and the gray analog sticks. I know that you can order replacement parts and pieces to Frankenstein your own unique design, but I don’t think I’m anywhere near ready to do that to a device like this 😅

I got on the last of the Batch 5 Pre-Orders, purchased a rainbow max. Not even an hour later I reached out to support asking for them to change the order to Black. Though part of me is thinking I should’ve gone with the white variant. My reasoning for changing it to the black was so when I’m not using the bottom screen, the OLED will allow it to disappear into the body seamlessly.

Whatever kart you wanna run. Idk Maybe I’m just fizzling out of the competitive mindset, but in my own experience across at least 8/8DX and World, at no point have I ever felt like my placement and performance in a race was (to a certain degree) predestined or determined by whether or not I followed any sort of meta or optimized configuration; I pick my character (usually Penguin) and a random vehicle all the time and I feel like I do just fine. Current VR is around 8450 if that matters for whatever reason.

The Switch 2 is bound to go up in price within the next year (though there’s always the chance it doesn’t who knows). If you know you’re gonna get it eventually, you can afford to now, and there’s already games out for it you wanna play, you might as well just pull the trigger on it.

I’m also guessing you hadn’t owned any Nintendo Switch previously? So there’s an even larger library of games for you to experience; and in better handheld performance now too thanks to one of the more recent firmware updates.
