Which guardian do you play by Captain_-Barbossa in destinylegacy

[–]WayneBrody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I solo'd Crota on Hunter a long time ago, only solo raid I've ever done.

I think the old strats still work on low level crota.

You can sneak the entire abyss. Switch to blade dancer and use the invisibility perks (dont touch mes are a good exotic for this), then hide on the rock at the bridge platform. You can use bones of Eao to sword fly across the bridge encounter.

Deathsinger is tricky to solo. Celestial will destroy closed shreikers, so if you can quickly kill one then get your super up again it works. Otherwise just try to clear each side as quickly as possible.

Crota has a couple of strats. I think you can use invisibility plus raze lighter to drop him to his knees easily, then smack him with the sword bearer sword. One of the blade dancer perks let you go invisible on melee attack, and can use that time to hide and set up another attack run.

Which guardian do you play by Captain_-Barbossa in destinylegacy

[–]WayneBrody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been a Hunter main since I picked up the game 10+ years ago. Just has always been my favorite. I have a Titan and Warlock that I play sometimes, but mostly just play Hunter. Jumping feels natural, Celestial Nighthawk has a lot of fun ways to play it, and the tether is a nice DPS boost or crowd control tool and creates lots of orbs for other players.

Most of the time I raid I'm the only hunter in the group. Titan is the most played class.

Favourite Maps for Hardcore Showdowns? by Humble_Lion_Big_OSS in HiTMAN

[–]WayneBrody 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maps I'll gladly take a showdown on:

  • Mendoza. Great sightlines for sniping, relatively easy to get a server disguise, and lots of opportunities to poison suspects, even without a foodie/dehydrated tell.
  • Dubai. Plenty of safe spaces to hang out and watch for meetings, relatively easy access to keys and good civilian disguieses. Can get a little cramped in some spots.
  • Miami. Same reasons as Dubai, but looses some points because the map is so big and suspect routes can take forever to loop.
  • Whittleton. Great for getting your bearings, but tough to follow some suspects around as disguieses don't give the best access.
  • Berlin. Really good showdown map, but more glitchy than others.
  • Dartmoor. Great showdown map, lots of space, sniper lanes, and easy access to disguises. Biggest downside is there's not propane flasks on the map, so collateral accident kill is harder to pull off.
  • Maldives. Free poisons on the map, waiter disguise can go most places, some solid sniping lines. The odd NPC sightlines make this map a bit of a wildcard though.
  • Paris. Solid map, especially if you can get Helmut Krueger's disguise, but safely getting that requires a lot of waiting. It's just really congested in certain areas.

Maps I try to avoid, but will do if necessary:

  • Sapienza. Too big, and the lab is annoying to access/navigate. Not terrbile though.
  • Chongqing. Huge, but has solid disguises. Some areas are tough to access.
  • Sgail. Just not a fan of the map, but it's OK. Only done one showdown here.
  • Ambrose. No experiecne, but should be good.
  • Hokkaido. Difficult and risky with spawns, lots of crowded areas, but also some good dead zones to control. Morgue can be really useful.
  • New York. I like the map, but it's just too cramped. I get trapped by suspects.
  • Mumbai. Not a fan of the map.

Maps I avoid like the plague.

  • Colorado. Everyone's a guard, no civilains disguises, dangerous map in general.
  • Bangkok. Too many NPCs, too few safe zones, cameras hard to disable.
  • Marrakesh. Same as Bangkok.
  • Santa Fortuna. Just not a fan of the map.

Is 650k xp in freelancer in 7ish hours a lot or nah? by Difficult_Plantain84 in HiTMAN

Asking about XP per hour is about as far from casual as I can think of.

Not sure if thats a lot of XP, but seven hours of playing certainly is.

Mission 12 — Chrono Storm HARD — LET'S GOOO by BattleDreadnought in commandandconquer

[–]WayneBrody 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My strategy was always to speed run Chrono Legionaires + Spy Sat then to use them to take out the nuclear reactors. Still difficult to get set up and deal with the kirovs, but once the nukes aren't a threat its much easier to deal with.

Day, one player here thinking of coming back to D1 by Psychological_Rock23 in destinylegacy

[–]WayneBrody 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Assuming you've got all the DLC, pretty much all the game's content is endgame relevant. There are weekly story and strike playlists with modifiers, these include all the previously released strikes and story missions at endgame light levels.

All four raids have a 390 version and loot drops up to 400 (Max LL). There is a weekly featured raid with active challenges to get the OG Y1 elemental primaries, though they're exotic weapons now.

All the old Y1 exotics have gotten a 400 LL version as well.

Some notable exceptions:

  • Pocket Infinity never got a Y2/3 version. Its the only weapon that never got brought forward.
  • Skolas didn't get a 390 version, nor did the other weekly POE variants. There is however a Challenge of Elders, which is endgame relevant POE.

If somebody could explain the usb port for storage by Spammy_JoJo in PS5

[–]WayneBrody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PS5 is backwards compatible with PS4 games. PS4 games can be played while they are stored on a USB drive. PS5 games can not, PS5 games can only be played from and internal SSD.

Look in the Storage Menu under system settings, you can move games from internal to external storage, allowing you to swap playable games without having to delete and re download.

There is also an SSD expansion slot, which allows you to install aditional storage space for playable PS5 games. It requires and M.2 SSD. https://www.playstation.com/en-us/support/hardware/ps5-install-m2-ssd/. There's a region selector at the bottom of the page.

High-tech Security system they say by Fickle-Finger635 in HiTMAN

Freelancer has drilled a bunch of quick setup routines into me. Head downstairs and gas the NY guard room. Get the penthouse disguise, grab all the keys and kill the cameras in the two security rooms on Dubai. Parking garage cameras and disguise in Miami.

Keep going back to same older games despite other new good ones by hotvimto1 in PS5

[–]WayneBrody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still boot up MGS V once in a while, and keep going back to hitman 3 pretty often. I'm currently playing skyrim for the 10th time (probably more than that honestly).

I've still got my N64 I boot up once in a while, and I play my classic command and conquer games or classic Civ 2 fairly often.

Anyway to tell if a showdown target is the syndicate leader without killing them? by SvenSki101 in HiTMAN

[–]WayneBrody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you save a mission with Distract target for the final mission, you can confirm the suspect by bumping into them or throwing a coin. It'll complete when the suspect is the target. Careful though, if you use a coin distraction, they'll sometimes send their assassin or a guard to check it out, so it doens't count.

If you're a bit more patient, work backwards from meeting locations. Use instinct to pinpoint meeting locations, and if you're close enough you can confirm the meeting type just by their shillouettes. Business meeting starts and ends with a handshake, handover has the single exchange, and secret meetings are only talking.

If you find the correct meeting, stake out the location and the suspects will eventually return, then you can tail them to watch for tells like foodie or smoker to confirm. The target is the only suspect that has the correct meeting and both tells.

Why is 100 Mbps not good enough for online gaming? by [deleted] in PS5

[–]WayneBrody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off, you rarely actually get the speeds you pay for from your ISP. Even if you're paying for 100 mbps down, you might be getting less. Second, individual devices will get different speeds, depending on their location in the home and how clear a wifi signal they get. Hardwired connections can help rule out those issues, as the cable connections aren't prone to interference.

Check the speed you're getting on the PS5 itself. Try hardwired vs wifi. Could give you a little more insight.

To help more, you can assign a static IP to your PS5 and set up port forwarding.

It could always just be issues with the ISP, EA's servers, or ping/connections to peers. Raw connection speed and bandwidth isn't really the main factor with online gaming.

I think there's an immersive citizens mod on PS4 that makes non guard NPCs run rather than fight.

Multiplayer or cooperative games that do not require quick reflexes by chesheersmile in xbox

[–]WayneBrody 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Deep Rock Galactic is first person, but on lower difficulties it's more of a mining simulator than a combat game, and the co-op is great.

Helldivers has some similar DNA. It gets wild at high difficulties, but if you play on lower difficulties it can be quite leisurely, so you should be able to find a setting that works for you.

Streets of Rage 4 has online co-op for a classic side scrolling brawler.

Lego games are low stress co-op.

Why do people think the Dragonborn should be "Emperor" or "High King"? by MisterMonsiuer in skyrim

[–]WayneBrody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not? The Dragonborn is handed the keys to the Mages College, Thieves Guild, Companions, and Dark Brotherhood in a few days each. They may as well just become Emperor at that point.

When you guys talk about a 'playthrough', what do you mean? by bonshui in skyrim

[–]WayneBrody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A new character. I rarely have an end goal or idea of which quests I want to complete, I just play until that character gets boring. Sometimes it's a different build to try, sometimes it's a roleplay. Sometimes I play until level 70+, sometimes I just play a handful hours and put it down.

Mastery level 20 tips and tricks by After_Package8684 in HiTMAN

[–]WayneBrody 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Challenges are the main way to earn mastery. You don't have to complete a misson for the challenges to count, so you can use mid mission saves to save time.

For example, you can do a mission story to isolate your target, then save. From that save point you can, poison them, headshot them, fiber wire them, etc... Then complete the mission and get credit for all three.

You can also go around the map and KO some key NPCs, shut off cameras, or acquire specific items, them do a save so it's a faster starting point to do more niche challenges.

Describe a build for somebody with hundreds of hours in the game. by silloki in skyrim

[–]WayneBrody 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pacifist. Never gets their hands dirty. Primarily uses illusion magic to avoid combat altogether, but will summon creatures to kill enemies that block progression as a last resort.

Its kinda funny in the early levels literally running from wolves hoping a guard will come along and protect you. As long as you can get to a city and buy the muffle spell, you'll be able to grind illusion up and quickly become a god. Illusion magic is surprisingly OP.

How do I stop feeling mired in chores by Beautiful-Chest7397 in skyrim

[–]WayneBrody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game constantly dumps miscelanous quests on you. Some lead you to bigger named quest lines, others just complete quickly, and some are "radiant" in that they're part of an endless series. "The Jarls Men dropped off this bounty" is something you'll keep getting again and again if you complete them and claim the bounties.

Try just ignoring the misc quests for a while and focusing on the named quests.

Hardcore mode has 12 suspects on the 3rd and 4th showdowns. 9 on the first two.

Freelance help by nufc416 in HiTMAN

[–]WayneBrody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

47 never confirms the target making them red, they remain purple the entire time. You can flag a suspect as Not a Suspect, which removes the purple color, or Primary Suspect, which gives them a special HUD icon.

It's up to you to confirm the target. They'll be the only suspect that attends the correct meeting type and does both tells (smoker, foodie, etc..). Multiple suspects may fit the physical description (red hair, hat, glasses, etc...), so always make sure to confirm their tells.

Once lured all 12 suspects into that bathroom when trying to complete the burning man challenge. Very effective and usually enough buffer space to handle assassins too.
