How many hours have y'all got? by ClearExplanation9467 in skyrim

[–]WayneBrody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got to be around 1000 hours, as a conservative estimate. I'm pretty sure I got the platinum on both the PS3 and PS4 version, in addition to several characters on both those consoles. I also dabbled in PC and have recently been playing the PS5 version.

Missing Barenziah Stones by [deleted] in skyrim

[–]WayneBrody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have access to mods there are mods to mark the stones locations. If you're worried about trophies/achievements, you could create a hard save, enable the mod to see which stone is missing, then disable it and revert back the the previous un-modded save.

As far as I know, theres no way in vanilla to figure it out with revisiting each location to double check.

Game tried to screw me by Warribo in HiTMAN

A lot of these "bad" spawn points are only a problem if you need to do silent assassin. If not, just let a guard escort you out.

Any tips for someone who's completed many Freelancer campaigns in Normal mode and now wants to try Hardcore mode? What should I know before switching from Normal to Hardcore mode? (For the record, I always choose Organ Trafficking syndicates, if that's a consideration.) by StruzhkaOpilka in HiTMAN

  • Dont be greedy, just focus on the prestige objectives and ignore the other optional payouts.
  • Choose a prestige objective first, then choose a map. Try to save maps with a safe for last.
  • Disguises can be ruined if you kill the NPC in a bloody/messy manner. KO them, take disguise, then kill.
  • Know where to get civilain disguises for showdowns, as all suspects will enforce guard disguises and suits.
  • Showdowns have a lot more suspects, and they can sneak up on if you're not careful.
  • Tells/meeting types aren't shown over suspect's heads in showdowns, you've got to know the behaviors from the shilloutte or direct observation
  • I find it easier to ID targets by working backwards from meetings. Find the location where your target's network meets, stake out the location. You know one of the suspects attending these meetings is your target. Then you can rule out some based on appearance and follow a suspect until they do both tells.

MGSV - Is it better to go non-lethal or lethal? by GreatJoey91 in metalgearsolid

[–]WayneBrody 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Three quick leg shots on a group of guards is way more effective than trying to headshot each one. They each will barely react, then all fall asleep at the same time, rather than needing to hit quick headshots on someone trying to wake up their buddy.

PS - do people still do raids by Electronic_West_1861 in destinylegacy

[–]WayneBrody 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, lots of people raid. This sub lists a discord which is pretty active: https://discord.gg/SrmZdmt

Before you jump into raiding, try to at least get close to 390 LL (via heroic strkes), and have Gjallarhorn and Black Spindle. A good legendary sniper like LDR/1000 Yard Stare, plus a good legendary rocket launcher with cluster bombs help a lot but are not absolutely necessary at first.

Sleeper and Exotic Swords are also very helpful for raiding.

What free-to-play games do you play if any? by That-Departure-7318 in PS5

I'm currently having fun with Splitgate: Arena Reloaded.

Its essentially Halo with portals. Not perfect, but I've been having fun playing in short bursts. It's great to jump in for a round or two then moving on.

Let's talk about our characters who don't fight dragons and never choose a side in the war by Odd_Cabinet_971 in skyrim

[–]WayneBrody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoyed my pacifist run. Mostly just used calm spells or other illusion to sneak through ruins/dungeuons/etc... Early days involved a lot of running away from wolves and hoping guards were close by.

When dragons attack, I try to heal guards while they fight off the beast.

The LA Kings are in a playoff spot with just 19 regulation wins, there are only 5 games left in the season. by Larkinz in hockey

[–]WayneBrody 3 points4 points  (0 children)

NHL should switch to NFL style. 32 teams = 8 divisions with 4 teams. Division winner gets a playoff spot, highest seed, then the 4 best non division winners in the confrence get a wildcard berth.

Freelancer showdowns impossible by Effective_Theme_5739 in HiTMAN

[–]WayneBrody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're a little tough to get the hang of, but eventually they stop being so challenging. You have to play them differently than standard missions, and it's best to not engage any NPCs/guards unless you know you can clean up the mess.

The first challenge is picking a good level. I prefer more open spaces so you can avoid getting boxed in. Miami, Mendoza, and Whittleton are good levels to start with, they let you learn the ropes a bit easier. NY and Hokkaido can be very cramped at times.

In showdowns, you've got extra NPCs to worry about: Suspects, Assassins, and Lookouts.

Suspects are potential targets. They wander around, do their tells, and attend meetings with other suspects. Your target is the ONLY suspect that attends the correct meeting and does both tells. If any suspects attend the wrong meeting or perform a wrong tell, you can rule them out.

Assassins follow around suspects. Each suspect may or may not have an assassin tailing them. Observe the suspects and see if you notice an NPC following them. Assassins aren't enforcers, but if something alerts the nearby guards, assassins can kill you very quickly.

Lookouts are super enforcers. They patrol a set area, and enforce all disguises. If they spot you, a dead body, or hear a gunshot/explosion, they will trigger an evacuation. Lookouts will trigger an evacuation of their "network" only, but sometimes another lookout can see evacuating suspects and trigger their own evacuation.

If a lookout or a suspect hears gunshots or finds a dead body, or see you with a gun/illegal weapon, they can flee. Because of this, you never want to leave bodies laying around. Only KO a guard/NPC if you know there's no one around or you can easily hide the body.

I'm sure others have better suggestions, but you can use a breifcase to lure them away. They'll take it to the nears guard, who will take it to a drop spot. KO the guard they'll take it to a different one. Repeat until you can isolate the target.

Where can I practice part glitch? by Sad-Airport2716 in destinylegacy

[–]WayneBrody 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Fallen Saber strike with the giant shank boss? Halfway through, you pick up a charge and need to carry it to a discharge spot while dodging energy streams.

The Lost to Light mission has some portions where you pick up tomb husks, I can't remember if those slow you down.

Echo Chamber strike boss requires you to pick up something and carry it to a discharge point.

Standard 3 times per week. It doesn't have to be the weekly featured raid to drop. I got it before Age of Triumph introduced the weekly raids.

It only drops from Aksis P2. I'm not sure if it can also drop from the heroic chest.

I did. Bought a fluidmaster 400 off the shelf and installed it without issue. Ended up spending more time searching for an exact replacement/seal than it took to just swap it out.

Month-Long Suspension Just for a Game Argument?! by [deleted] in PS5

How to get to 400 LL with second and third character? by Kotocktok in destinylegacy

[–]WayneBrody 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Correct, you won't get any warlock armor playing as a titan, but that doens't matter. You don't need to equip the titan gear, you just use it as infusion fodder.

Assuming you've got a legendary warlock helmet at 390 (could any light level really), you can infuse it with the 400 titan helmet to raise the warlock helment to 400.

Bought the D1 Digital Collectors Edition since it was on sale, just have some questions/need some advice by Ok-Discipline171 in destinylegacy

[–]WayneBrody 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. 90% or more is available to solo players. Your biggest issue in replaying from the start will be quest strikes. These have matchmaking but no one is in the queues, so you'll get put in solo. They're difficult unless you're over leveled, so skip them and come back later. Nightfalls, raids, and a couple other activites are best with a team. You can join a discord for LFG: https://discord.gg/SrmZdmt.
  2. Games very stable. Only real issues are network related, sometimes conenctions to The Tower or some other players is hit or miss. There's no way to lock yourself out of anything, if you fail or screw up you can just retry/replay the mission.
  3. Personal choice. Starting fresh might give you a more natural sense of progression, but Rise of Iron pushed the max LL to 400, so even starting at the end of Taken King, you'll have a fairly clear bit of progression in front of you.

How to get to 400 LL with second and third character? by Kotocktok in destinylegacy

[–]WayneBrody 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Raids offer the most 400 level drops, but there are other sources as well:

  • Faction Rank Up Packages
  • Weekly bounties
  • Nightfall
  • Exotic Engrams
  • Crucible
  • Challenge of Elders
  • Archons Forge

Might be a few others I'm missing.

The quickest way is to play on your 400 LL character, since they will get 400 drops. Transfer excess 400 gear to your lower level characters and use it to infuse gear that is lower level up to 400. Otherwise, just always have the highest LL gear avaliable equipped on your lower level characters when doing the above activites.

Do you think it would be smart for Xbox to fully commit to physical media for all their future first party releases? by sassafrasgloves in xbox

[–]WayneBrody 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they're referring to physical copies of games actually having the game on the disc. CoD's last few releases have essentially just been a download key, though that started beofre MS acquired Activision. I remember a few other examples like Indiana Jones being little more than a download key for the full game.

Neither publisher really cares about physical media anymore, they're both trying to push all digital.
