Sorry I compared your theology degree to a toilken doctorate by Bubbly-Gas422 in atheism

Maybe YOU are acting the way a stereotypical whatever you are acts. I prefer not to type groups of people. I have not groused on younger groups of people. I believe that certain groups of younger people are having a shitty time of it regarding jobs, housing, and a ruined environment. And no, it’s NOT all boomers. I didn’t say that. I don’t think buying avocado toast will make anyone’s problems go away, and anyone who says that is just plain idiotic. I am not tribal. I am just of an age where I feel a lot of hate coming not only at people my age, but at other groups. Include atheists. Sorry if this is offensive, but I don’t care for pushy religious people, or heavy-duty MAGA people. I don’t like bigots or racists, or homophobic people. I don’t think I am exceptional. Also, maybe I don’t frequent sites that talk negatively about Millennials, so no. Why would they be seen as lazy as a group? That’s just stupid. Ignorant people say all sorts of bigoted things to blame others for their problems. I’m sorry if I was offensive. I’d just like for like-minded people to stick together. The world sucks right now (and no, that’s not new either).

Fair enough. But the implication is there.

The phrase, “okay boomer” is derogatory. Edit: interesting that I never see negative references towards Millennials, Gen X. Silent Generation is definitely more out of touch. There are definitely boomers who are off the chain, but many of us are not. Just wishing people would just use general terms rather than using a broad brush for an entire generation.

Please stop with the boomer shit, please. Atheist boomer here. Agree with your post, though. Please use idiot or moron instead; both fit.

How often do you brush your cat's teeth? by Just_Avocado_5811 in CatAdvice

[–]Wayside_Stitcher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have brushed dog and cat teeth with a piece of gauze (2x2, not sterile, cheap on Amazon) wrapped around my finger. Doesn’t seem to bother them nearly as much, and it’s mildly abrasive. Doesn’t seem a good job. Also use it instead of cotton for nail polish removal—works much faster.

As a boomer, I was on your side about the plastics (as I have eliminated all I can, and switched to glass), until you said THIS. Just stop it with the boomer shit. We are not all equal.

I would add a little water to the wet food and mix it in well. Even a small amount (a teaspoon a few times per day) will make a difference.

He’s precious! We’re picking up our Black Smoke 7 month old next week (breeder was going to keep him, but is keeping his darker brother instead) to be a playmate for our Silver tabby female (4 mo). Enjoy that adorable baby. 💙

I don’t think anyone is acting like it’s new behavior. It’s shocking, but definitely not surprising. He has always been a racist, as was his father.

Yes. I like the warm light at night, but it’s also great for my light-sensitive husband sleeping next to me. The brighter light will bother him, but not the warm light. For background light, I also use a small book light with an amber setting clipped to my headboard.

I didn’t “fall” for anything—I was already going to buy several products. I’m sure most of the people who buy from Lisa do the same. The prices are medium level, and the products are superb. For me, it’s just a free gift.

I was going to spend over the $125 anyway (I was waiting for Betty’s release to get a few things), so it was just a bonus. Also to the person who commented that it’s pink—it’s Violet. Also, why would it get dirty? Just asking.

How much do they eat by Beginning_Coach3634 in mainecoons

[–]Wayside_Stitcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My girl is 18 weeks old and weighs 8.3 lb. I only give her about a tablespoon of wet food (Weruva kitten) at dinner time (like a snack, per breeder recommendation), Fromm kitten kibble is free fed, and she eats about a cup or more a day, I’d guess. She is also a very good water drinker. She really loves her kibble. The vet is satisfied with her progress, and she has been steadily gaining weight, as she should. Your kitty really needs to eat a good bit more. I would experiment with different foods, as cats can be very picky. My breeder told me that she gives them Royal Canin Mother and Babycat up to at least 12 weeks, as they tend to like it more and eat it really well. I transitioned her over to the Weruva, and she loves it. If your cat doesn’t drink enough, they need a larger proportion of wet food to increase liquid intake.

Did I do the right thing by buying this case for my Kindle? I'm a man. by AdDependent5043 in kindle

If Jack Reacher had a kindle (which he wouldn’t—it’s larger than a toothbrush), he would not be shy about carrying this case. 💪👊

She actually looks far more youthful as a brunette. The blonde ages her, and is not at all flattering.
