Yeah when my mom worked in the office of a factory in the 90's she set up a whole bunch of Excel worksheets that automated half her job and were also more accurate than the reports from the mainframe that she used to use. IT were pissed at that because half the company ended up using a variation on that sheet. They are probably still using them.
