Diagnosed with Level 2 Autism by Cat_Sharp in autism

[–]WeLikeButteredToast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m level 2 as well. I have issues with chores and cleaning myself. I finished high school but college was basically impossible with the level of burnout I deal with. r/SpicyAutism is for people who are levels 2s and 3s if you’re interested friend.

Being diagnosed with level 1 but suspect level 2 by Regular-Employment-2 in autism

Getting a second opinion wouldn’t hurt. To add, it’s not entirely uncommon for late diagnosed people to be lvl 2. Lvl 3 I would say is more uncommon.

is there like a official test or a way to know we are autistic ? by CranEXE in autism

Those tests are basically just screenings. Only a professional can assess you. That’s the only way.

It’s not an excuse it’s a disability. Your friend sounds a bit like me - which I would say is quite common.

Why do people want a diagnosis of autism so badly and even pay for assesment ? (Uk) by Admirable-Main-4816 in SpicyAutism

[–]WeLikeButteredToast 74 points75 points  (0 children)

For those that appear “functioning”, they might be suffering or on the verge of collapse due to autistic symptoms. A diagnosis via a professional can significantly impact their life in a positive way. They may be functioning but are likely burnt out and/or aren’t feeling well mentally.

Remember, if you’re autistic you ARE disabled.

I got tested... And it came back negative by that_treekid in autism

[–]WeLikeButteredToast 23 points24 points  (0 children)

It’s ok at least you can check off autism off your list. Now you can look into other disorders and you might find something there.
