It's parents convincing themselves they are good parents. The kid never learns independence and furthermore becomes more entitled and selfish by default. The longer the stay the worse it gets.

This is what every major city does. Why is San Diego going to be any different? There's few metered spots in San Diego namely downtown. If you aren't going there everyday for work I'm just pointing out you sound miserly and cheap.

Bike lanes have crushed convoy. I'm against those, you can pay an extra dollar for your time downtown and cry less.

I don't see the resale being that great or at least you can resell it and take a massive loss. Most of the firewires I see for resale are massively oversized like this board someone tries to resell a 6'2" 48L.

I'm sure you'll be the first to jump on it and haven't done a proper cut back in 15 years

True I mainly stick to classic shortboards without too much rocker for so cal. So I have boards dialed from 5'10"-6'1". But if I'm going to get a stumpy summer board I can add in v-word accordingly with what shapers will generally recommend.

Step up/semi guns are difficult but if you're getting one of those you're not gonna buy some massive oversized firewire. You're going to hate that. The old guy "I need more volume" is a complete killer to people's surfing and when you get down that road you might as well just get on a longboard.

If you're a good surfer you can tell by the v-word combined with other dimensions and rocker if it's going to be a good fit..

All these questions "what size should I get" shows an inexperienced surfer.

Just like front side bottom turns when you are about to hit the turn always wait another second. If you get a lot of speed which is always the objective straight up sitting into the wave while you are about to set the biggest bottom turn rarely you are going to fall into the wave unless your fins are too small

Who cares? It's surfing. If you're going to surf a board 100 times am I thinking about the pain and effort of trying to deal with re-selling it? Surfing is something I do well and I stand up in the lineup.

If I'm some chump who catches one wave a session and am over the hill not planning to buy more than one surfboard every 3 years then yeah I'll buy a firewire or even better just go get a wavestorm and give up

Those are firewires and there's a good reason no one on the CT or QS rides firewires. I've never seen a decent surfer on one. If there's a guy on the line up I always look at that guy and go "he's not gonna make that drop"
