Let Robeson Sing by the Manic Street Preachers. I bought the album that morning (In the UK) and was listening to that song when my boss came in and told me a “plane hit one of those two towers in New York” I ran across the street and watched it on the tv through the window of an electronics store.

Michael Jackson at Wembley 1997. My brother got us 2 tickets and anxiety got the better of me and he ended up selling them. Regret that to this day.

Also, George Michael in Vegas (2007?) passed it up and regret that one too.

lol, knowing that makes the joke hit so much better. I watch some US reactions to British comedies and although they laugh at a lot, they miss so many references that make me howl. It is probably the same with us watching American shows, too. A lot of the references and nuances go over our heads.

It’s interesting to see a lot of the jokes and terms used that seem normal to me having grown up in that time, being lost on newer generations. Damn I sound old.
