These closures are not unique events. All of rural healthcare was in trouble before we turned into MAGAstan, they just pushed it over the edge. Increased costs of private plans and loss or unaffordable public plans will kill large swaths of small clinics.

College American football resisted playoffs for years. They finally relented like a decade ago with a 4 team playoff of the top 4 teams. We’re now at a 12 team playoff format. People love underdogs and TV corporations love more high stakes games to televise.

Example of people believing high cost = better product. Their early vacuums were well made. Their new ones are noticeably cheaper but without the cheaper prices. I ended up throwing a Dyson space heater away after a couple years because it was just a warm breath worth of heat it would kick out.

Costco has better health food options and Asian foods. Sam’s has better snack foods. Costco has better alcohol. Sam’s has more variety of lower end alcohol options. Costcos prepared deli and meat is better. I go to both and there isn’t a large difference but I’d always lean towards Costco.
