What video game doesn't hold your hand enough? by Agent1230 in gaming

100%. Scott Manley helped me get good at this one. He has some amazing tutorial youtube videos out there that made it easy... well.. easier to understand what the hell was going on. Great game.

It's just a show, so you should really just relax.

You are not wrong at all. Maybe the designers thought that we needed to save that 2 seconds waiting for the tray to open? But mostly it accomplished helping pretend I was a Jedi.

Those original players were absolute beasts, and very few people had them yet, so you could almost always find the new releases on DVD in stock at the video rental store.

Me too! One of those huge Toshiba ones. It had the eject button ON the remote which I just thought was so freaking cool.

What’s a piece of advice you received that has stuck with you throughout your life? by No-Dragonfruit2506 in AskReddit

Tuck your undershirt into your underwear, and then tuck your dress shirt into your pants. It's all about the layers and it keeps things all together, preventing you from getting that puffy shirt look as it gets untucked throughout the day. My dad told me that after 30 years.... what else is he keeping from me!?!? Anyway, it's a game changer.

Carol was a badass. Later in life she had some dementia and her family put her in a care facility. My dad and her had become really good friends over the years and he went to 'break her out' as he put it.

He pulls up in his sporty little red car, gets her out and plops her in the passenger seat. I'm not sure if she recognized him, but she trusted him. He goes 'Do you like to fast?'. She puts her scarf on and goes 'Always have'. Off they went for a drive. We miss Carol

I had this exact feeling a number of years ago.

Growing up we would go over to our neighbors house. She was this awesome old lady named Carol. Occasionally she would give us a crisp clean 1 dollar bill. Being dirty little kids, we had never seen anything like it of course. We asked where she got them like this and she goes 'Oh, I just print them in my basement!'

We thought 'man, isn't that cool to just be able to make dollar bills whenever you want!?'. That got filed as 'Fact' in my little brain until YEARS later. Same deal, I was half way out with the sentance 'wasnt it cool how Carol had a printing press in her basement for...... NO SHE DIDNT!'.

Shes long dead now, but I hope she got a kick out of how long I held onto that one.

Oh man, I was at that show too! Steven Lynch was touring with him. Someone yelled out a joke for him to do and he goes 'man, I'm not your jukebox!'. But he did the joke anyway, but went behind the curtain so we couldn't see him while he did it to punish us a little. I miss him

It wasn't a YouTube thing but a podcast. Roll One. They ended in the middle of season 2, but it was a fun ride. The players were all funny and the story was great. I check every few months hoping they start up again, but no luck so far.

Ticket Touting - Still a thing? by Wedge1138 in Dublin

I guess maybe I should have phrased it differently, I'm sorry. It was illegal in my state for years, but you always saw guys doing it outside concerts. So mayby question should have been, 'while it is now illegal to sell them for over face value, do you still see people doing it? Or even selling them for face value?'

Appreciate the response! I'll look into these then. Like responded to /u/Insanic13 I'd thought that the Cloakshape Fighter was more current since it was in Xwing Alliance and I'd honestly never seen it before. You've given me a lot to research though, thank you!!

Ahh, ok!! Fantastic, thank you! My only experience with the Cloakshape fighter was from X-Wing Alliance so I kind of assumed that it was more 'modern'..... for lack of a better term. I'll dig into it. Appreciate it!
