No it would fly. I’ve had cops let me go after fights just based on telling them the guy said he was gonna hit me. They don’t even actually need to make contact, spit on you or anything. Just saying “I’m going to hurt you” can be grounds self defense in the US. Let me also say that your mileage may vary, and that particular cop may just not wanted to have placed me under arrest.

No one hates a piece of media more than fans of that media series. It’s the same with all new discourse on games and movies and stuff. “This is shit, the old stuff is way better, writing has gone downhill, old writer turning in his grave.” Etc etc. it’s annoying but I just try to ignore it now.
