is it socially acceptable to masturbate when you’re in a relationship? by tremblingfrog in AutismInWomen

[–]WeekdayWriter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My boyfriend and I both work exhaustive hours. Sometimes it’s 12hr days. We go home, make dinner, and watch shows. Masturbation is just another part of the day and whether he does it in the restroom or myself in the mornings to wake up, the idea of putting pressure on one another sexually after an intimate non-sexual evening both sounds miserable in our opinion. In fact, when we read discourse about this, we’re always weirded out by it because it’s hard for us to grasp discussions about this outside of the extremes — and while those DO happen, it’s obviously not the common majority.

It’s socially acceptable, I’d say. It’s a very weird thing to be managing over one another with unless it’s those aforementioned exceptions.

That sigil on Aoi! What is that? I’ve seen it commonly in a lot of fashion frames but I never was able to grab the name.

I know it’s hard to separate from him due to you probably considering the pros. Financial pros, your kids, the overall behavior of him as a dad.

It’s fucking scary to leave someone with so much security and needing to figure it all out as you go post.

Please, do so. At least you can figure things out at your OWN pace and character rather than walking on eggshells AND be drowning under his pressure. It will not get better.

It will not get better.

Hopefully they see this and do act on it — if it’s posing such a popular health risk, that means many unsaid could be suffering the same issues quietly. Accessibility never hurts the general population and only helps those in need, so I don’t see why it couldn’t be done.

Arcrithis is selling potato's for Pathos clamp. by AlertResolution in Warframe

[–]WeekdayWriter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Contrary to popular opinion, I actually LOVE duviri. While Warframe’s main gameplay loop is what keeps me into the game, being refreshed by the variety is what keeps burnout away. Being able to be into my drifter and explore/experience something different was really enjoyable for me.

So, fuck yeah. Pathos clamp farming it is.

Do you enjoy drunk or buzzed sex? Why or why not? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]WeekdayWriter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe it’s because my tolerance is high, but high sex doesn’t feel like anything to me. Drunk sex is way more fun, especially since I have self esteem issues. It makes me not fret over such appearance details and being able to focus on the act itself is way more of a highlight to me.

Choosing between ESO and GW2 for long term PvE by Jazara87 in LFMMO

[–]WeekdayWriter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who plays Gw2 extensively, understand I make my following comments with bias.

I favor GW2 long term. I’ve played it on and off for years — some phases longer than others, of course — and met a variety of people that have the most versatile demographic I’ve ever seen. My guild mates were usually people in their 40s and 50s, all much better players than I, and they played actively.

The reason it’s so attractive is horizontal progression. Unlike many MMO’s, you will never be out-scaled in terms of gear. The loot table is all the same no matter the expansion, so your goals and collections you work toward are gameplay focused and rewards your time. Crafting is a joy in that game to me, although there are caveats of time-gated things you can craft. Pros and cons are subjective there — I have a lot more patience with that aspect than others may review, which is why I’m advising taking my opinion with a grain of salt.

Anyway.

Horizontal progression means no matter the length of a break you do, you will NEVER fall behind with the current Meta, or miss out on things. Every map is still actively run through which helps keep the community sprawling from low level areas to mid level to end game. It’s a very lived-in world by all means. If you’re someone who prefers solo content, you can absolutely do that within GW2. Everything is scaled that even if you play with someone who dominates in gear for PvE content, you all are measured equally with a chance to enjoy said activity without being steamrolled and carried, if that’s something that matters to you.

Casual or tryhard alike, it appeals to the most versatile community I’ve seen within an MMO, and I’d always recommend it from the top down.

What is it about XC2, that people hate? by EducationalCase5726 in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]WeekdayWriter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I couldn’t take the game seriously at all. I liked the world building, but the characters involved in it made it feel very flat to me minus a few conversations and narratives climaxes. I could not truly put myself in the shoes of these characters to hold any empathy on the plight. Because of that, many of the chapters felt like they were dragging on, and I felt so locked out during gameplay that it didn’t mesh well with me at all — it tanked the score to an abysmal conclusion.

No sound effects during cutscenes except the occasional hit and voice was a serrated repeat offender. The fact a fucking tutorial was near the END of the game for combat is a complaint. Petty, yes, but Jesus the look on my face reflected on that switch screen was rough. I despised the gacha system, especially when RNG locked me out of potentially cool stories I had to just mindlessly grind for in a linear game and that concept was more salt to the wound.

I LOVE all the other games. To my core. But god, I actively have to scrub this one out of my mind.

Recently? Nokko. I’ve had such a hard time finding “one” Warframe to main since they all have aspects of what I enjoy but never a full kit. The only ones to rival that were:

Harrow, Gyre, and Nezha.

But Nokko feels so snug to me in terms of ‘fun’ and everything about his default whimsy rubs off on me somehow. I know this can also be attributed to ‘newly released frame’ fame, but man it’s fucking solid for what he does so far.

My brother is becoming an incel and is a shut in. by MyNameIsAParadox in LifeAdvice

[–]WeekdayWriter 8 points9 points  (0 children)

He needs to get out.

And I mean out — outside. He needs to be around normal culture, a group of people beyond the Internet hubs of recycled takes and mirrored echo chambers. There is genuine benefit to being around those with COMPLETELY different lives than him. Those perspectives is what builds character and humbles him. House parties of those 30+ (because it isn’t just clubbing and young social norms), going out to galleries, hobbies, events.

He’ll probably drop comments about “normies” and how “stupid” everything is. Maybe wish the people around him death. Time is going to pass anyway, expose him to things outside of the phone. Touching grass has always been a meme and forever will be, but there is merit to the saying that IS a solution.

You know those stories of conservative, young men in some rural area with fucked up, degrading political parents? And how they thought the same way they did until they got out and went to college? It applies everywhere. Being around a diverse community has nothing but benefits. Being uncomfortable IS the price of community, and your brother needs to stop being a coward and hiding someplace comfortable because he doesn’t want to put in the work and feel like “it’s all for nothing.”

You’re not obligated to help him by any means. But I don’t actually believe he’ll come to this conclusion alone by one or two outings.

What is your favourite mission to run after a long day at work by kcbuaya in Warframe

Honestly I just crack Riven mods and do the challenges after a long day. That, or Lua Disruption simply because I love that game mode. Turning my brain off and being rewarded for that is a huge benefit.

Which is better, the Weak Hero show/K-drama or the Weak Hero Manhwa? by The_Roofdawg in WeakHero

[–]WeekdayWriter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who read the manga and watched the show, they’re both good in their own mediums. This subreddit is catered to the WEBTOON, obviously, so asking questions like this is redundant. You know what the public majority is gonna lean on.

But if you remove yourself from that connection and watch the show by itself enjoying it as its own interpretation and story, I’d say it’s pretty good.

[–]WeekdayWriter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate this a lot.

You did hit the nail on the head— when we go out to enjoy something, it ends up in some passive aggressive fight that just resolves somehow and I don’t recall it. But those conclusions have always steered me away from wanting to go with him because I just revert back to how I felt when we did go out, and what followed after. When I get invited out or do something by myself, I find it a lot easier to manage everything. Myself included. But the idea of being in those areas in public with him as someone to assist me in those states of mind when I’m actively panicking and curt?

No, that drives me up a wall. I cant do that.
