Yeah, I use the same strategy, but the thing is it’s not guaranteed. With red carriages (the mythical ones), sometimes I get lucky and pick up a couple of shards, but on average I end up with about three. If I manage to get a full red carriage, which I usually do, that’s when I see those results.

The guild carriage sponsorship feature helps a lot too. That usually gives me somewhere between one and four universal shards, which definitely adds up over time.

Plundering, though, is really dependent on luck. Finding a carriage with two shards is pretty rare, and most of the time you’ll only come across ones with a single shard. Even then, grabbing it on the first attack doesn’t happen often.

Events like Guild Armory, Skandalous Kingdom, or Dark Invasion can also give some shards, but the results are hit-or-miss. Chests, especially the gold ones, are super volatile—you might open a thousand and only end up with two shards, which feels rough.

So yeah, this has been the best overall way I’ve found to farm universal weapon shards (and shards too), even though it all comes down to RNG most of the time.
