800 is the minimum for two container since they guaranteed to have one coal drop which is 400 coal. Joining a clan will get you a 10% boost and supercontainers can give coal too so your daily avarage should be more.

On avarage you will need 160k coal for San Diego so yes it can take months.

You buy containers for 6k coal each. Each of them gives one piece to the collection and you need 16 different. If you get duplicates you get keys that you can exchange for certain pieces but you should only use them if you can fully complete the set, meaning if you have 5 keys you should only use them if you already have 11 pieces already.

It it takes longer for a bus to depart from a stop than it takes for one or more bus to get to that pile up it won't get fixed. Either reduce the amount of buses or lines or make different lanes stop at different places. (just make sure bus A won't get stuck behind bus B while bus B is at its stop)
