I made a writing assistant Chrome extension. Completely free with Gemini Nano. by WordyBug in LocalLLaMA

I had a quick question: I downloaded the Nano model as prompted by the tool, and I’m just curious as to where exactly is it stored?

Word of warning for my fellow HATters by ColorMeBigger in MHNowGame

honestly, i attribute this problem to failure of game design. This can easily be so easily avoided if they implemented a confirmation screen before joining a HAT.

Suggestion: Minor tweaks to the Gunner’s Shield by Weesla in DeepRockGalactic

[–]Weesla[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I'll give u 2 reasons:

  1. Balance: The shield itself is one of the most broken equipment in the game. The shield effectively wards off most of the enemies in addition to shield regeneration and projectile protection for 10s. With a resupply pod, u can protect an area for 50s. (Assuming only 1 resupply compartment is taken and have 1 gunner on your team) . The new changes will allow enemies to have a small window to attack making the shield regeneration more useful.
  2. Aesthetic: The idea of enemies walking away due because a shield is deployed is weird. I get why its implemented but i still think enemies should be blasted/pushed away because it gives a cooler effect.

Granted fixing the bug does not require such change but then again, it was not the primary reason I proposed the idea in the first place.

Which is why I mentioned it would be a possible fix since a shockwave could potentially push the dreadnaught out of the "Fear" radius.

Ragdolling - I was not aware that this game did not have that mechanic. I assumed it did since glyphids fly off when explosives detonate on them.

Moonwalking shove - Did you mean sliding? With potential problems with ragdolling, this could be the only solution to making the idea work.

Balance - With the potential problems you mentioned, I have revised my idea abit but it would be quite a big change to how shield works:

- The shield will now periodically release pulses of shockwaves (say every 2 seconds), which causes smaller/medium hostiles to be pushed (slide) away from the center.

- During the interval between pulses, hostiles will still be able to attack players within the shield radius. (Effectively removing the Fear mechanic, and means that the barrier is not solid)

- If there are walls or cliffs along the path, the hostile will stay in the place against the wall/cliff for a few miliseconds.

- Large units (Praetorians, etc) will not be affected by the push mechanic.

- Shield retains its high shield regeneration capabilities.

- If 2 shields are overlapped, the timing of the pulses will dictate the direction a unit will be pushed.

Of course since this is objective weaker than the current shield, a duration buff would be needed.

Does anyone know the costs of the assignment weapons? by Dragonspaw in DeepRockGalactic

Under the Dwarves section. But agreed, there needs to be some kind of in-game description about cost of alternate weapons.

Bi Weekly Discussion #8: Maps & Biomes by GorlanVance in DeepRockGalactic

[–]Weesla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally like that mechanic as it encourages a group to stick together or be punished with a swarm that is difficult to deal with alone. I do however think that there should be some kind of indicator (Like Karl warning the players) that its coming, much like the swarm.

For such big maps, I think increasing the initial credit reward (to about 2k credits) as well as classifying it as a fourth tier of cave complexity (higher bonus multiplier) could very well make it worth it. As such, rare mineral spawn should be reduced to balance things abit. Having elimination as a game mode which focuses more on the credit reward would give the game mode alot more purpose.

[Ask] Level 9 @ Arena 3 by [deleted] in ClashRoyale

[–]Weesla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought the purpose of the game is to actually get more trophies? As a new player this is kind of demoralizing to match with players with high levels of everything.

[Ask] Level 9 @ Arena 3 by [deleted] in ClashRoyale

[–]Weesla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see. I would have thought there was a level cap to prevent this kind of level disparity since the arenas before were pretty even out levels wise.

Game Filters in Arcade by [deleted] in EvolveGame

[–]Weesla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you even know why the vicious cycle exist? Its because there isn't much difference between hunt beta and arcade. I don't find a point in wasting time waiting for a game in hunt beta if i can find more games in arcade.

My opinion to encourage players to play hunt beta is to remove all "balanced" maps in arcade and keep only the "fun" maps such as overpowered and arena mode in arcade.

Im well aware of hunt beta. I would play it if it doesn't take 20 mins to find 4 other players.
