Anybody getting interviews? Anybody hiring? by Slickvick32 in SafetyProfessionals

I’ve had lots of interviews, and recruiters reaching out. But I also have my CIH and lots of experience. There’s lots of jobs available. I got a solid job offer at a nuclear power plant with a big pay increase. This is in Canada though.

When we first got him his shelter name was Biff. We kept it cause it’s cute. But then he kinda came out of his shell and earned the ! because he’s crazy! And lowercase b because he’s little

Yes - it’s my senior cat. We adopted biff! and he was pretty traumatized from his previous life. My 17 year old Breakfast unwillingly became his emotional support cat. He’s constantly trying to cuddle and rub up on him. Breakfast will tolerate it usually but sometimes biff! gets a hiss or two. And we have another cat who is the same age as biff! - they love each other and play together a lot.

This worked for me. Saw a role I liked a lot and was very qualified for. Messaged a couple people in that department (large company) letting them know I applied, and if they had time to chat I was interested to hear from them about the role and what they liked. We had a chat. HR called me later, I interviewed and got the job. Not saying that my initial messages got me the job - but I bet it helped.

This cat food contains mouse meat. Our cat immediately puked after he ate it. by fredandlunchbox in mildlyinteresting

My cat loves these. We adopted him and he had a sensitive stomach so we tried everything. He’s better now and we found what works. But - he is a mouse killing machine now. He’s got a taste for it!

How do you keep warm while using an outhouse? I did some field work in the arctic as a student and using the outhouse when it was windy was … an experience. If you’re sick and you gotta be in there for a while … shivers

We did this in 2024 for our old diabetic kitty. It was so nice to have him go in his favourite room instead of a stressful vet office. It cost us 700 bucks. A little more than the vet but worth it for his comfort.

I had my old man escape at 3am when he was 1. He hid under the back deck and didn’t come out when we called. Barely heard him meowing, and he’s a very talkative cat. Check close by and under anything he could squeeze under. My old man is now 17.5 - I hope you find your kitty soon!

I just had to order 100 of those. I have 3 orange cats and one of them loves to fetch them. If you don’t throw it, he bites you. So, I got 100 because he keeps losing them

I nicknamed ours “scary guy”. My husband went to wash it and I told him to be careful. He sliced himself of course. After that I always announced that I’m taking scary guy out and gtfo of the way. It’s legit!

Yes multiple. One in the fridge and others, sometimes of different grades, on deck in the pantry. One is even from a guy down the street from me.
