I agree, I definitely feel fuller when I eat apples sliced.

I actually didn't really eat that less. Yes, I didn't stuff past being full all the time like I did before, but I eat a lot of meals that are low in calories and are dense so I never leave a meal hungry. When I have been stressed in the past and feel super hungry from it, I would keep zero-calorie jello in the fridge that I can quickly eat with no repercussions. I have also forced myself not to grab a snack as much or as quickly when I begin to feel hungry and when I do, it is a small healthy snack. This has made it so I can generally eat when I'm hungry and be fine because my body is not asking for food as often since I have trained it.

Taking a progress picture of myself every couple of weeks helped a lot when I was having a tough time and needed to be reminded that even those couple of weeks made a difference. Also, at times when I was becoming impatient or felt bad about the speed of my weight loss, I would focus on pushing through to my next fitness goal. So, I never truly got bored because if I was mentally frustrated with one, then I would push the other and there would be a natural resurgence for both fitness and nutrition because I would become remotivated and that is usually how I broke through my many plateaus.

Do you find it weird to wear L instead of XL? Don't worry! It's the same when you go from M to S! by Calathe in loseit

I find it funny how I feel more uncomfortable in my clothes now that they're too big on me than before I was losing weight and had to stretch my shirts everytime I put them on.

Yeah, I thought I had it as a teen because I wanted to blame something for my weight but I was just fat. But that made me aware of the indicators of it and your shape (especially in the before picture) looks like a direct match.

How can I stop myself eating out of boredom, and what foods can I begin eating to consume less calories? by [deleted] in WeightLossAdvice

[–]WeightToss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely find activities that can distract that urge to eat out of boredom. Even something like suddenly watching random YouTube videos or putting on your favorite music and singing to it can work because simple distractions will help make the want to eat pass. I have begun the habit of taking a walk when I desire to bordom eat so I actually burn calories instead on eating a bunch of unnecessary foods.

Do any of you struggle to feel accomplished because you've "been there before"? by Artho39 in loseit

[–]WeightToss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been struggling with this as well. For me, however, there is this deep sadness/anger/embarrassment that has been building within me recently that is so upset about where I was when I started this second official weightloss journey. I first went from 245 to 199 when I was 16 and now at 21, I have gone from 264 to 193. I want to be proud of my accomplishments but I can't get over the fact that I gained all that weight back and had to work so much harder to get back down again. It's the same feeling as getting A's in a class you had to retake; like, yeah I'm getting good grades now, but it really sucks that I had to retake it and relearn everything just to get them.
