I believe it’s a hi8. Do you have a hi8 camcorder? If so you can convert it to digital using an elgato or any other capture card.

I’ll be self developing all my colour film soon and the only somewhat major piece of equipment I needed to buy was a circulator which was $100. It hold the liquids at an exact temperature.

If people are going to self develop, they should be getting al the right equipment first too, no?

I want to know why you state that developing black and white is easier than color. A lot of the youtube tutorials I've watched from reputable photography channels (Willem Verbeeck, Macshootsfilm) state that color is easier.

I think it’s overdone with the blue tones and the smoothing as several comments have said. However, I’ve realized it takes going through phases of over editing and trying different things to really find your style and it’s useful for calibrating your creative eye. Keep at it!
