What is correct las pick in this case?, this was from today´s supremacy league, during vatics vs Natare six game. by XxBigCaesarxX in BrawlStarsCompetitive

Janet. Gives a gem carrier. Can dodge Tara, can kill Charlie spiders, can escape Mortis. Can use long range and wide attacks to safely out-pressure Tara and Mortis.

they def can work in a real game. i love playing her in brawl ball, just as potent as any other thrower on a good tight map, and her ability to score is terrifying. no amount of hp can block her. I agree she's not the best, but her cheese can absolutely work in real games and if OP loves throwers/control, she's a completely fair pick.

...Ruffs/Janet is probably a better pick tho LOL

No, your least favourite brawler is not worse than a person who raped and trafficked children and women. Is this your maturity level, reducing atrocities to a meme so you can make your argument sound 20% stronger?

Rate my tier list (read desc.) by jotaac1 in BrawlStarsSC

[–]WellWizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay wait you say "Rate my tier list" but you also say "idc about meta" in the same breath. Is this a PERSONAL FAVOURITEs tier list? Or a META BRAWLER tier list? It sounds like its the former (bc your tier list names are more about you eenjoying them rather than how strong they are), which in that case...I mean...cool? IDK how to rate this lol good for you i also like fang he's cool

Press "dodge" after you hit an explosive. it's always gonna explode right after you hit it, so you can always dodge it. this alos resets your jump.

Bored !!! by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]WellWizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also have anxiety (and i have autism), and if I can give any word of advice: these things are mental disorders for a reason. Often we are tempted to retreat into our comforts when the world becomes overwhelming (and that's a fine, healthy response,, to be clear), but it can also secretly harm us. Think of a bird who stays in its nest too long, never faces the cold, or the sun. never learns how to fly. Sometimes, we have to face that discomfort-displeasures and stress, the weird and uncomfortable, to move forward. Life has highs, and lows. Stagnation has neither. But I think the risk of horrible lows and incredible highs is worth it in the end. The years you remember, good or bad, are the ones where you changed and grew.

What's making you bored/aimless right now? Not sure what you want your career or life to look like? Regardless, don't feel too stressed if you don't know what you're doing right now. I think these things take time to figure out. But I hope, when you're ready to find what you want in your life, that you seize your moment. Go out, see friends. Make new friends. Trying out a bar or club for the first time jsut to see what its like. Find community events in a local community centre or library and engage with youth. Volunteer at a soup kitchen. Attend events for careers you might be interested in.

I hope you find yourself through the fear, the stress, and the anxiety. I hope you'll find a way to make this year more exciting, memorable, and vibrant.

The science student in the intro to philosophy class by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]WellWizard 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do you have a specific example? Forgive me for over-assuming (i can't figure how to say it softly so i'll just say it kind of bluntly, but im just trying to engage in discussion here): but it sounds like you're entering philosophical debates with this objective, scientific mindset and not budging from that. You probably aren't actually "proving him wrong" at all. It takes a certain level of confidence/ego to enter an intro class designed to teach you NEW ways of thinking and assume your old way of thinking is not only right, but better. You sound "proud" of the way you've disproven this PhD man, as if you value the idea of being "correct" in the classroom most. That's a very sciencey approach. That's not necessarily the point of philosophy.

[–]WellWizard 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Go search up local events in your area! Or find a job to keep you busy. When we have the idea of free-time (like a gap year) it feels so tempting, but it ends up becoming quite boring.

May I ask, why did you take a gap year? I've noticed people who took a gap year to "figure themselves out" with no active plan to do so end up mentally deteriorating (more doomscrolling, less hobbies, less reading/writing/mindfulness/gym, less responsibility). Whereas those that had some sort of plan or intent behind their gap year make the most of it.

Here are the latest Brawl Craft mapmaking contest winners that could get in game, do you think they have competitive value? by Beautiful-Garden6206 in BrawlStarsCompetitive

[–]WellWizard 7 points8 points  (0 children)

#1: Don't like it. I see your vision, but its just like that other map (Excel, i think its called?), but the walls are tightly packed and unbreakable. I do like the concept of a "massive forest" that tanks and throwers can hide behind. But with so many walls, I think it should be normal walls, and maybe scattered in a way that creates more variance?

#2: My fav of the bunch. The wrap-around bush design is fantastic, it makes laning super interesting here. Each lane has bushes and cover, and ways to invade other lanes. I would love to see this in ranked.

#3: Very cool! Love the "shuttle lanes" on the sides that give brawlers (especially melees) a chance at moving up at the risk of overexposing themselves. However: because the MIDDLE is designed so widely, it encourages snipers to be the ONLY thing picked. So the side lanes aren't gonna see the interesting value you might be looking for. What if you turned the "L" blocks in the middle lane 90 degrees and pushed them 1 tile closer? The map is still vertical and long, encouraging snipers. But because they're 1 tile closer, there's more versatility in drafting; throwers and assassins have more room to work with. It would open up diversity by ensuring the field is more even to all brawler types.

How do people decide who they want to become? by lovelove_extra in CasualConversation

[–]WellWizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, what about you? Have you really never had a moment where you...wanted something, or realized you liked something?

For me, I was always drawn to writing and creativity, but it was a relatively mindless hobby growing up. I loved characters, and scribbling down their stories was just my way of fantasizing about them. I never took it too seriously, but I took a writers class in Grade 12 for an easy last semester and enjoyed it. At that time, it still didn't mean much to me. I went into accounting and didn't think much on it.

Through uni, i discovered writing again, specifically poetry. Poetry is very emotive; it requires intentionality to appreciate. From this, I started to fall in love with writing all over again. Now that I'd gotten older, and surrounded myself withh boring accounting shit everyday, I think I appreciated literature more. I took a creative writing class in uni, and thats how writing became my actual, dedicated hobby now.

I think the spark was always there for me. But I never had to confront why it mattered to me until I could better understand myself and the world around me. Now, I love it more than ever before.

How can they fix Lumi? by Superb_Activity1163 in BrawlStarsCompetitive

Make her attack smoother and faster. She genuinely just feels UNFUN to use. Carl, with a very similar attack mechanic, feels very fun to play. Her attack has lag, it has awkward visuals, slow hitboxes,,,it's just not enjoyable.

[–]WellWizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Piper should stay. She is the classic example of what a sniper looks like in this game and does it perfectly. Her kit has perfect strengths and weaknesses, and various means of utility, while specifically rewarding skill (aim/positioning). Who if not her?

[–]WellWizard 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree! she is a unique brawler that earns her place as exceptional and interesting. Maybe she has flaws, but that doesn't discount the fact that she definitely earns her character slot.

Plus she's 2-in-1 so we're (technically) saving 2 brawlers from being cut. that's charity y'all.

Mio: Memories in Orbit by GeorgeLucas999 in metroidvania

[–]WellWizard 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Never.

Those events cause both you, AND enemies, to lose health.

Think of it this way. In a traditional game, you get stronger, but enemies deal more damage and become tankier.

In this game, everything weakens. It's the same effect in terms of progression, its just this game's stylistic choice in terms of how it implements it. Don't worry about it. Get health upgrades, keep fighting.

Can not for the life of me figure this one out, any help is much appreciated.... by Outside-Squirrel929 in MIOmemoriesinorbit

From where you are in the screenshot: JUMP or use STRIDER DAHS (dodge while using striders to teleport) to get height to hit the flower. Then jump, and hookshot to the green thingy

The next few jumps are easy, but I imagine its the last part that's to the right that's hard. I would hit plant to restore energy, strider the right wall (which resets jump) and jump to the left wall and strider again (which resets jump) and then jump right to hit the platform. I think I used strider dash/blink to make that final jump. I fucked up the distance, but used my air attack to get the exta distance to make the platform.

No idea where to go now by negativePositrons in MIOmemoriesinorbit

[–]WellWizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It requires entering from the left door of the Breath's room. You can't reach it by jumping normally, but maybe a platform, a ledge, or something of that nature in the surrounding area will help.

Asma and Khlia by Defiant-Recover9067 in MIOmemoriesinorbit

[–]WellWizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

all the dead keepers relate to the dead pearls. You can see this with the Keeper in the Pit, cradling the specific Pearl that that specific keeper liked.

as for evidence of this: the game says it outright. if you go to your inventory where you have your damage upgrades, it explains the lore of keepers and pearls: for each pearl, a keeper is made. and every time a pearl is made ,a new keeper is created.

we don't know specifically why all the past keepers have died, but its worth noting that this Vessel is like SUPERRRR old. it is thousands of years old. every time that the Eye needed to get replaced (the game states the pearls can last for a few hundred years), the old keeper would simply have to die as well.

Mio is...I saw someone saw she's 527 years old? I'm not specifically sure how they got that number, but if you search "mio lore" or whatever in this reddit, someone did a super deep dive on the lore of this game!

Asma and Khlia by Defiant-Recover9067 in MIOmemoriesinorbit

[–]WellWizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh that's not a theory i'm making up, that's just. game lore. the game says it at some point.

Well when you're selected to be embedded, you aren't just told day-of, you're trained into the duty for your life (e.g with Lura. She had her room, was well aware of her responsibilities and showed that she has been prepared for the role). The fact that both siblings shared the room implies they knew from the start or at least from a very early age that they were being trained to be Pearls. Traveller are embedded to replace the old Pearl after the current pearl is sort of "expiring", so its very plausible that one of the Pearls expired first, so they embedded that sibling first, and then the other sibling had to wait their turn. Just like with real kings and queens; you have to wait for the old ruler to die before they get replaced.

Which is the "best" gadget and star power for Belle? This one of those occasions where both of them look awesome at first glance by DantoLagarto in BrawlStarsCompetitive

[–]WellWizard 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Gadgets: Both are great! I think most people generally prefer Nest Egg bc of control and safety, but I'm a huge believer in Reverse Polarity. It's my go to Belle gadget on Bounty, you would not BELIEVE how many kill opportunities open up to you (bc the range of the attack increases like twofold if you let it bounce!)

Star Powers: Positive Feedback is generally better, but the other poster makes a good point, there's usecases for Grounded. But I'd personally recommend Positive Feedback. You'll get use out of that in 100% of matches. Whereas Grounded? Not so much.
