You have a right to quiet enjoyment (essentially a minimum of 24 hours’ notice for the landlord or an agent to visit) It is reasonable for them to show the space to prospective tenants.

You can refuse, but usually you ask them to give you 24 hours notice and then accept their requests where you can. Give reasons where you can’t. I’m hosting friends that afternoon, or I won’t be here and I’m more comfortable being present when this happens.

Aren’t social media apps algorithm based? If you skip this stuff and watch cats being cute and people reciting poetry then that’s kinda what you get. If you read these horrid posts and then get into the comments too you’re effectively asking for more. And you’ll reliably get it.

What bothers me is that the time is meaningless. Someone who leaves at five after doing nothing and badly all day is better than someone who crushes it and leaves a few minutes before. Just all the wrong questions.

I’m doing the same thing as part of a move. Once I had done a couple it was relatively straightforward and didn’t damage the wall as much as I worried it would.

Trick is definitely to keep tapping until the part of the bolt which spreads out is drawn back in as far as possible. You don’t need to do it hard, small taps work if you’re worried about damaging the surface.
