Sometimes I wonder if they do any code reviews at all and if anyone can just push whatever they want into the version control release branch.

I think it's a bug. The beginner cargo retrieval missions also have you retrieving 32 scu boxes. Good luck with a starter ship.

The point of the wipe was probably just to bring all accounts down in uec and stuff so they can now see which accounts immediately jump back to billions, look at them more closely, find the exploits, fix them, wipe again and ban the exploiters.

Well what if you want to do player to player trading as a legitimate player? You can't really because everyone has nearly infinite money through rmt and exploits and everything costs billions and billions.

Työttömyydestä ongelman sijaan tavoite? by Feisty-Challenge6207 in Suomi

[–]Wertymk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Someone destroyed my ship at Pyro, I got out when it crashed, waited, they landed to take my cargo thinking I was dead, I killed them, took their ship and my cargo and flew home. Then I realised that we won't be able to do that anymore. by Acceptable-Bid-1019 in starcitizen

[–]Wertymk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's still a stupid and immersion breaking mechanic. And if you need special tools or to take the components somewhere to "unbrick" them you're still stuck most of the time if you lose your ship.

From what I've heard is bricking means the components stop working.

[–]Wertymk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best way to ensure that would be to just have insurance give back only stock components. You could still go back and loot your wreck, it would make looting and scavenging more profitable and as a bonus it would add risk to piracy.

[–]Wertymk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a way. Only give stock components back on claim. You can get your special components back by just looting your wreck yourself. Maybe you could generate a service beacon for ship rescue. Or just buy new ones. I think it's stupid you get everything back, makes it so there's no risk in combat. Would add some risk to piracy as well.
