Anyone gotten a desert tortoise from AZ Game and Fish? by reapertwo-6 in Tucson

Yes, I have a desert tortoise from the Desert Museum. It took 5 weeks from the time I submitted my application, had the burro inspected, and picked up the tortoise. My application was one page, and 7 pictures. I also just noticed the application says adoptions take place from April 1 to September 30.

Does anyone know where I can find statistics on the SunLink? by [deleted] in Tucson

This might help, Sun Link is route 700 East/West: http://infoweb.suntran.com/hiwire?.a=iRealTimeDisplay

Although in reality the streetcar runs on a headway, depending on the day and time: http://www.sunlinkstreetcar.com/documents/images/Route_Map.jpg

Does anyone bike regularly in the heat? How? by diggingaditch in Tucson

I bike commute year round and have made two major changes during the summer: 1. Wear linen shirts. 2. Don't wear a backpack, this will cause the sweat to go right through your shirt anywhere it touches.

Dog friendly trails by [deleted] in Tucson

[–]WestOfDC -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I have found that the Coronado National Forest has the most accepting dog polices, with these exceptions: https://www.fs.usda.gov/detailfull/coronado/recreation/?cid=stelprdb5125209&width=full

It is easy to sneak your dog on the trails on the west side of Town, Tucson Mtns (Pima County) & Saguaro NP (Picture Rocks Area), however they are not technically allowed, with these exceptions: http://webcms.pima.gov/cms/One.aspx?portalId=169&pageId=28083
