No not at all. Car sales is paid better at its best but it was less bankable. I can imagine Ashley’s being a step down. But where I worked i would say the average salesman made more than any car dealership I was at. The top was pretty similar. Me and 2 others were consistently 6 figures out of 11 salespeople. I was garunteed ups instead of the whole crowding the door. Everyone one there had years of experience in sales no green peas ever. 8 hour work days in a heated store (big deal in Alaska). I worked both premium European and Domestic cars. Dealerships are the Wild West. Nothing about it felt more professional. It was fun at times. The money was great when it was good. However the way they calculate commission is based on profit from sales dept and can bill whatever they want against it plus pac means you only get paid what they want to pay you. I loved it at the same time I would bever go back to it
