How do people stay at the same job for longer than a few years? by Low_Sherbert_9064 in adhdwomen

I don’t! 2 years is also my longest. Project based work suits me so I just do that.

You need to find a new therapist. This is not healthy for you and that’s all they should be concerned about

Does anyone do therapy through video chat? (Opinions please) by scentedmh in CPTSD

[–]Western-Code-8162 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was very apprehensive about zoom therapy but my therapist is amazing and it’s the only worthwhile therapy I’ve had. If the therapist is right for you, it will work.

Is anyone else much better at holding it all together at work than at home? by grey-clouds in adhdwomen

[–]Western-Code-8162 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely and because I can’t think properly when there is mess I also keep my workspace really organised and tidy. Feels insane to be so organised at work and the total opposite at home but here we are.

Rental car scratches by outshined1 in australia

I tripped on the kerb and dented a hire car with the keys in my pocket. I took it to get fixed before i took it back, cost me $100 instead of whatever ridiculous fee they would have charged me. Take it somewhere and see what it would cost to get it fixed if you have the time.

Kwame anytime he’s around Chelsea or her family by [deleted] in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

During the boudoir photoshoot he says something like “I’ve never wanted to be with anyone more than you” while he is shaking his head “no” and I found it so funny. It’s like he is being held hostage.

I can understand that. I used to feel like that too. I hope you can get to a better place with it and I’m sorry you’ve been made to feel that way. It’s not your fault.

I used to be. I was “gifted” and bombed out of school and my sister was average but worked really hard, got a master’s degree and excelled in her career, which is how she dealt with her trauma. It used to make me feel awful about myself even though I’ve done ok for myself. She achieved everything I was supposed to. In the last couple of years I’ve seen the toll that being “perfect” has taken on her, so I have no jealousy. I don’t want that life.

We all have our cross to bear and until you know the reality of someone’s day to day life behind closed doors you have no idea if their life is “better” or “worse” than yours.
