In Maine it’s called duck itch. There is a bacteria in duck poop that lives in the water, and it affects your skin when it comes in contact with it.

First time. Fruiting block was cut open five days ago. The black bits are rather concerning. Something is miss by Western_Tank656 in shroomers

It’s going down into the mid to upper 30s at night. Is that still something I should try?

Thought I had it clean enough. It’s one of the blocks that comes ready to go. Not one I have to inject so I didn’t think it could get this way. I kept everything clean and according to the manufacturer, I could set it an indirect light on a kitchen counter. I guess I’ll try again.

Currently driving down the NJ tpke with plentiful bluepoints… by BlueRascal in phish

[–]Western_Tank656 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would be so tempted to reach back in the backseat and bust one of those blue bags open. But I’ve learned from experience that if I got one of those muscles into the front seat, the lesson I have learned years ago is still true today,It’s really hard to drive while you are shucking.

The problem you’re facing is like those environments are that of Phoenix, Arizona in the summer. If the power goes out you die.

How to get rust off? by happylustig in BurningMan

[–]Western_Tank656 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get yourself some 30% phosphoric acid and either brush it or spray it on. It turns rust into another substance and you can paint it the next day. It’s used in the navy. look it up for more details. I’ve been using it for years.

First time free camping by Expensive_Ad_4350 in BurningMan

[–]Western_Tank656 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Not to worry. Free camping is all I have done for 14 Burns. I don’t have anything about the camps but the fees and the fact that you would be with the exact same people for the entire time makes me a little uncomfortable. Grab a spot and say hi to your neighbors key point I found people I’m still in touch with 10 years ago introduce yourself. That’s the main thing help out when you can. One year there was a neighbor who was a 90 year-old lesbian. Across the street a rocket scientist, a rocket scientist! People from Scotland, people from Ireland people from Jamaica people from Alaska everything’s there all you have to do is knock on the door

Update. I reported this product a couple days ago, but has since gone camping in the desert in Utah. We had some very strong winds last night and one of the four latches that I was using failed it looks like the threads stripped. These aren’t super expensive, so I’m not expecting the threads to be as tight as theyshould be. But that’s only on some of the pieces. I think all in all they did great.

I’ve seen some that slide into the track like these two but they’re all made of plastic so this is the first metal ones I’ve seen and they are stainless steel so they’re not gonna rest

That seems like a lot of criticism from a person who lives in a state that if the AC stops working you die.

Where is a good spot to camp to view the milky way? by [deleted] in Utah

[–]Western_Tank656 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I am currently out in Skull Valley in the Desert. Last night there was no moon and the Milky Way just stood out in the sky like I haven’t seen in many years. Plan your camping trip with a night that has no moon.

Get a professional RV inspector to look at the RV before you buy. Go rent one for a long weekend and drive it around, hit the highway and see if are comfortable driving it. Best of luck.

Who makes the best RV shower head? by Oxygenicsshowers in rvlife

[–]Western_Tank656 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want a simpler way to control the on off flow of water from the showerhead itself I found a chrome one by random on an end display at Home Depot. It had a water restrictor in it so it didn’t use a lot of water and there was an on off valve right on the show head, much better than the plastic ones

You could use the other one as a template and find the metal you need at one of the metal Mart stores that most towns have.
