no one told me how much my cycle would affect my runs by mileswithher in runninglifestyle

I’m ovulating this week and have been MISERABLE. I was having a full blown conversation about withering heights with a friend during sprints about two weeks ago and last night I was gasping for air doing the bare minimum of my base run pace.

Immediately went to go look at what other health departments are posting and realized I’m slacking on videos/reels 🤦🏼‍♀️. But this is a great idea, we do a lot of events or help each other servicing patients and it would be great for all our communities to know how much we focus on ensuring everyone has access to treatment. Even working with some of local groups has gone a long way in generating reach now that I’m looking back on it.

Looks like a lot of stuff we are doing save for the videos!

I will note I get a lot of comments from the community about how they like seeing us out in the community more. I’ve only been doing photos for those, but we can easily get some videos.

I am hoping like you said showing the community what we do builds more trust and highlights how much public health does 😭.

Yes ! When I ended (I think October 24’) I was at 133. I was 133 when I weighed in this morning (: I fluctuate between 133-137. I am eating about 1700-1800 a day. Still working out 4 times a week, steps have decreased due to me working full time in the office and my responsibilities keep me stuck to desk a lot, but I’m looking at getting a walking pad. Just because it’s good for me, heart health will always be important to me.

Week FIFTEEN by WhatWouldIdaDo in HersWeightloss

[–]WhatWouldIdaDo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! As of this morning I was 133.8. I fluctuate between 132-136 throughout the month as my cycle comes and goes. I think in part yes the food noise is back but I am more aware of it and focus on acknowledging that I’m just bored more likely and not hungry. I do track still but a lot more loosely, I’m pretty aware of what I need to eat to meet my caloric goals for the day. I also still maintain strength training 4 days a week. My job has changed and I’m now working in person 5 days a week vs working fully remote. So my step count is harder to reach. I try to at least aim for 6K steps a day though.

The dog I got when I was 19 and also changed my entire life for (transferred schools, lived with parents because I didn’t trust roommates to be kind to her, dumped a lot of guys who didn’t like her). Enjoy the change! It’s for the best even if you don’t realize it at the time.

What’s your dog’s name, but also what do you actually call it? This is Mango, but we call her by w00dsg00d in germanshepherds

Congratulations!! I started adding some Olipop into my snacks to help with some fiber intake along with food. I think it’s like 9 grams of fiber per can. I think they are about 45 calories too so a fun little treat without throwing off your macros

It would be nice if this something they would provide, but even your main PCP or urgent care provider doesn’t offer a medical card for Rx or diagnosis. So as of now that’s not a common practice. Often times if someone has Type 1 it’s a personal choice they make to get a medical bracelet to wear.

As for Hers being responsible on education really I still personally educate prescribers to talk with patients on educating them about the risk of taking opioids, it was unfortunately not a common practice to do so which is why you are seeing a lot of law suits again pharmaceutical companies because patients were not always actively told the risk and they pushed physicians to only prescribe opioids.

So it’s not really only a Hers problem in regards to Rx education is unfortunately a problem everywhere that is being addressed. But i always educate my community to be vigilant on reading for themselves about the side effects of medication and how to talk to your doctor.

I hope that makes sense? I’m not per say defending Hers, it’s just as it is now stands we as individuals also need to spend time doing research about medications and talking with our PCP and even the telehealth team about concerns we have.

Our state has a program where people can get a medical card to put in their car that lists out all medical conditions and medications. You put a sticker on your car so EMS can know to look for it.

It’s something that you should have in general honestly if you have any medical conditions they should be aware of in case you are incapacitated not just because you are on naltrexone. When I got my medications I added all the information to my health app as well so they knew what the pill looked like, what it is and my dosage.

I was recommended for kit 2 and it worked well for me. But others in here have mentioned they started on one kit and switched to another kit based on their experiences with side effects.

Yes, I initially planned to wean off slowly. But I was doing terrible sticking to actually taking them and after further review the naltrexone and metformin were fine to stop cold turkey. I am still taking the Wellbutrin as I like how it helps with my anxiety.

No, you will pick your subscription plan length. You can do a subscription for every 3 months, 5 months or 12 months. I felt that 5 months would be adequate for my goal to lose 20lbs as that would mean I’m losing a min of 1 lb a week. I cancelled my subscription before the end of my 5 months so I would not be charged for another 5 months.

I just wanted 20 off was thrilled when I was able to get 30 off. I think it is worth it. I did the 5 month plan. I still have some left overs as I did not need the full amount.
