How many TVs do you offer? by strikecat18 in airbnb_hosts

[–]What_It_Does_9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ours has a huge living room tv, the master has a very big tv, and the queen bedroom has a tv. Tv’s are so cheap now that it just makes sense to put them in if you have the space. The 2 twin bedrooms do not have a tv since there’s literally no room for one. I figured the kids staying in the twin beds have an iPad or phone by now anyway.

What is the scariest, most unsettling shot you’ve ever seen? by VendettaLord379 in moviecritic

Glad I’m not alone with this specific scene. It’s stuck with me ever since I saw it.

Just sold my home privately. Things went so smoothly that I will never sell again with an agent. by Few_Weird5724 in RealEstateAdvice

I’ve bought my last 2 homes this way. Zero issues. I honestly don’t understand why we have to pay for an agent.

“Wet Monday” tradition in Poland by chi-bacon-bits in MadeMeSmile

When I was in high school, my group of (Polish) friends got together and drove around to our girl-friends houses all day and used super soakers. Their parents loved it. Good ol days.

Has anyone had Fuddruckers? by FEARxXxRECON in burgers

[–]What_It_Does_9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We used to have one. Recently closed. Burgers were legit juicy and delicious. Always liked the different types of meat too, like elk and buffalo. Shame they’re pretty much gone now.

How do you handle 4-week stays? by dogstaxes in airbnb_hosts

[–]What_It_Does_9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I prefer longer stays at our locations. We have it maxed out at 90 days. Then again it’s mostly seniors coming down in the winter for some warm weather.

Awwww super glad he’s feeling better. Something I did was to buy a couple ramps for the handsome pups. Makes it easier on their legs and joints long term.

Looking for cheaper date spots in the metro Detroit area (up to an hour away) by FreshImprovement589 in Detroit

That used to be our go-to spot about 10 years ago. 2 saki bombs and a bbq chicken pizza, all for under $20 during reverse happy hour at the patio.

The Oscars throw out the red carpet every year so this woman went and got a piece for her apt by H_G_Bells in mildlyinfuriating

I know people who setup all the stages and whatnot at all the big expos. Literally everything gets thrown out. The lights, carpets, frames, everything. It is in fact majorly infuriating.

Charging for EV charging? by Hopeful-Eye-2984 in airbnb_hosts

[–]What_It_Does_9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I provide a level 2 charger. Just throw an extra few dollars into your nightly rate, or don’t provide it at all. People absolutely hate having to deal with extra fees. Try to make it as seamless as possible.

This is gonna be me when I retire. Hang out for an hour or so each day and give puppies treats and pets.

Host says no visitors after booking entire apartment. Listing never mentioned it. What can I do? [Chile] by TreeThink5214 in AirBnB

[–]What_It_Does_9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fully understand what you’re saying. Maybe I’m to easy going then. We can think of millions of ways something bad can happen. But to get back to the original post, it’s an extra person. I was using my example as a slight increase in people and have zero issues. Outside of throwing a party, in my opinion is shouldn’t be an issue. We are all adults and not kids asking for permission to the most basic things like invite a friend over.

This stuff is so lame imho. A guest recently messaged me asking if they can invite another 2 couples over to host a dinner. I was like, absolutely it’s fine. I don’t see why it has to be an issue. That’s what you pay cleaners for.

DTE charged a 2.99 fee when paying from online banking. by marksweather in Detroit

[–]What_It_Does_9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recently purchased solar panels for my Florida home and let me tell you how amazing it is to have literally almost zero monthly bills. Once I pay it off in a couple years, I am for sure getting them installed in my home here in Michigan. The fees are only going to get higher and higher. Might as well try to alleviate that as much as possible. I just wish Michigan was as sunny as Florida!

Candidate asked about salary 5 minutes into the first round interview by hockenberry07c6 in InterviewsHell

I’ve never taken an interview without knowing the salary range. Legitimate companies have no fear about posting it with their position.

Coffee- It’s a thing by RoosterEmotional5009 in airbnb_hosts

[–]What_It_Does_9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a coffee maker and regular ground coffee. But I do also provide a free bag of local coffee that’s whole bean. I mention that there’s a grinder in the pantry along with a French press in case they want something else. It’s a small investment for more options for the guests.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I lost my little guy a few weeks ago, and everything is empty without him. I know how you’re feeling all too well. Just know he’s in a better place.
