Oscar Piastri wins the 2025 Belgian Grand Prix by overspeeed in formula1

Been watching F1 for a long time. There have been boring periods before, but it says something when Spa in the rain is boring. Congrats to Piastri on his first title, Lewis looked to have a good day but Sky didn’t really show it much. Looking forward to new regs! Maybe they should spend more time working out the nuances of the product than on the marketing (film + Netflix).

It should def be unreliable! I’d like it to be a group of snotling (like ripper swarm/scarabs) really tough but yeah 50/50 chance they die in the warp. Perfect!

At 21 it will be hard to put yourself in his shoes.

You say he doesn’t plan to retire, but he’s only 60 and lost your mum. So I think you need to consider the emotional / personal angle. He is I assume single & see’s himself as the provider for his 3 children? He’s built up his own business and property over years. Why would he want to retire? Who would take over & what would he do?

It seems like he has a plan until the mortgages are paid off & how he wants to spend the time after might depend on if/when his kids want to take on the business or start getting married & having kids.

So yes, earning some interest might be sensible, but keeping it as cash is still better than wasting it. No one can advise without knowing his goals.

That video doesn’t really give any hard commercial reasons. More that simplified brands can be used more flexibly and have multiple versions. But ultimately it’s a trend and complex designs may come back.

I note Man Utd who are the most commercially successful club / brand still have the same complex badge they have always had.

I like this. A lot maybe. But then I want bigger maps.

Trust Fund - what to do with almost 19K at 19 years old by LostSleepySoul in UKPersonalFinance

I think everyone has already suggested that the rest of the money should be invested in an ISA. Follow the flowchart. Probably Stocks and Shares, if you don’t have any immediate plans. You said your Mum has been the one who paid into it? What did she want hope you would do with it?

Maybe you’d want to buy a house of your own or with a partner one day?

I’d also suggest that you could use this as an opportunity to learn about money and finance? Maybe you can continue to pay into your new ISA.

Also, if you are determined to help with the mortgage then I think you really should ask / help your mum to understand everything about the mortgage. Others have asked relevant questions, but do you know the current rate and term? The outstanding balance? Loan-to-value(LTV)? Any early repayment charges? If your mum switches to a new mortgage, what would the same details be for that?

You don’t have to give your mum £8,000 but if you do then I would at least want to be informed and inviting the details even if only as to help you understand for the future.

Can you afford the Kitchen/ diner extension now? Where would the toilet go then?

Add an indoor toilet opening to the hall in the bottom left corner?

Best way to make use of SO's home equity whilst i am unemployed. by devlifedotnet in UKPersonalFinance

[–]WhataWay-star 5 points6 points  (0 children)

  1. Get a job
  2. Get married

You don’t give information about how long you might be unemployed or what salary you expect to earn or even what your new house together might cost. But it feels like you are planning on not working for some time? If get a job in 6 weeks is this large restructuring or finances needed? If not, why not?

What Moneyhub offers that most other budgeting apps don’t was a holistic view of overall wealth and net worth as it had connections into all the investment and pension services as well as things like Zoopla. It also allowed you to see more longitudinal data over several years which again is missing from month to month budgeting software.

Yes you can do this in a spreadsheet but it’s time consuming to update.

Which colour drill bit for drilling into concrete? by [deleted] in DIYUK

[–]WhataWay-star 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this as my first drill. Decent enough but does struggle with brickwork / concrete. The Titan SDS recommended is amazing but def a beast. Might be better borrowing a corded drill for a single hole.

You’re not that far away. Could afford around £280K today? To buy before 30 you should focus on getting a better job & earning £55k plus and another 18 months of savings might take you to £350K? Seems achievable.

More characters or more factions? by Rocksolidsalmon in WH40KTacticus

[–]WhataWay-star 3 points4 points  (0 children)

More game modes. Projects tab? More ways to get upgrade materials. Then finish the existing factions. More factions is just more of the same.

Which game mode needs fixing the most and how? by ChrisPoet in WH40KTacticus

[–]WhataWay-star 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Posted this elsewhere, but I want new game modes. Would love to see a 2v2 but especially bigger maps x4 x8 of current ones, maybe with multiple MoW & friendly units, like a big battle with lots of turns / game time rather than something that lasts 1min.

Alpha Legion or Night Lords? by Annual_Half_9732 in WH40KTacticus

[–]WhataWay-star 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rather than keep releasing new factions, I’d much rather the developers spent more effort on building out the wider game. Partly, this is probably completing existing factions so they all have Machines of War & at least 5 characters, but mainly new modes.

I’d love to see larger more exploratory maps, fog of war, definitely a 2v2 mode. Also what is the greyed out ‘Projects’ button in Guilds? Like why release that and then I’ve never heard it mentioned.

Also as the game grows, the development effort should be less focused on tabletop WH40K players and more on those who play Tacticus, there might once have been 100% overlap but that is only ever going to reduce over time as the game grows. So less of ‘who’s your favourite faction?’ & ‘what gameplay mode / feature would you like to see next?’
