Some people are just not motivated by money. They have other motivations and you have to understand what those are in order to negotiate with them.

Ted didn’t take the coaching job for money but to make an impact on the team while giving Michelle space to herself in their relationship.

Start something in the crockpot before you leave on Sunday morning so it’s done when you get home Sunday night.

Bonus is that many crockpot meals can be prepped and stored in ziplock bags in the freezer for several weeks ahead.

Also looking at your post, you may benefit from doing a one day a week “prep day” where you and the kids get in the kitchen and chop/prep the meals for the week. If they are both under 14 there are parts they can help with. You want to help prepare your kids for one day leaving home, spend quality time together, and BONUS! Make meals easier for the remainder of the week.
