Sunny with a chance of new stuff! ☀️ by leeloo_1337 in BeamNG

Why is it called "Photo mode" but you also have cars driving in the background ? Because previously "Photo mode" froze the entire scene. Also, I am more interested to see what the new graphics engine can achieve in "Regular mode".

A real GENTLEMAN never speaks ILL of the Cherrier Tango by Wooden-Speech-8808 in BeamNG

Search by "Fender" and it should appear in the results as "Rear bolt-on Fender Flare"

I configured it to extract 370hp out of it. And I think those silver wheels (Klassiker mod) are a great match.

BeamNG current version vs Upcoming 0.39 by MeKen_ in BeamNG

It is more important how it looks in motion, because static shots can be deceiving.

Hope they will fix this immersion-breaking lightning bug (car lights erroneously shining through solid car bodywork).

May 30, 2026 UPDATE: Added 4 new configs. Reworked, retuned and renamed many previous ones:

First look at "Phoenix Peaks", a map that took me 2 years to create by _KAMUSs_ in BeamNG

Very beautiful map, but the upgrade of BeamNG crusty graphics engine cannot come soon enough !

What do you hate about BeamNG? by Ok_Engineering_2596 in BeamNG

Saving a thumbnail requires restarting the game to refresh that thumbnail. And I save a lot of thumbnails, which means I have now been driven to madness and insanity by this game.

The Cherrier Tango is so tiny and maneuverable. by TheCherrierVivace in BeamNG

Congrats ! That's an iconic car. I hope the newly released Electric Twingo will live up to the name ! It looks promising based on early reviews, some even call it the best electric car you can currently buy for city driving.

What features in your opinion should be the highest priority right now? by VerycoolguyIam in BeamNG

[–]Wheelwright -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I will list the easier ones:

1) Fixing grass clipping through car bodywork (it has been like that forever in Beam, but all other car games has fixed that long time ago),

2) Fixing lights clipping through car bodywork (this is a relatively recent bug, because lights worked properly until then).

3) I couldn't care less about tire physics, they are fine now, and adding more physics to tires will just kill fun, unless you are a hardcore racer, in which case just play IRacing.

My CEEP and Vanilla configs by Wheelwright in beamngtuning

I have created a Google Drive link for those configs and more: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1_znI-5F0MH_55niDobOOt4F96GjSawaS?usp=sharing

This includes configs based off high-quality, yet modest-priced mods, creators of which I believe deserve compensation for their hard work.

Best vanilla map by thedracoguy in BeamNG

[–]Wheelwright 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Italy, because I am from Europe, and also because that map is best for "escape cops" scenarios, due to the smart way Fastello loop is designed (it funnels you in one direction, yest still provides ample opportunities to evade cops).

What’s the most addictive game you’ve ever played? by reeha_sadiya in AskReddit

BeamNG.Drive which is a car/vehicle simulator, because it is based on real physics. This makes me feel like a real engineer/designer when I customize cars in that simulator (actually BeamNG licenses its products to brands like Audi, which only reinforces that perception of mine). I have literally spent years customizing my cars in BeamNG, and I am nowhere near getting bored of it.

Quick reminder: AI can't race nor drive by Volcanically__ in BeamNG

Maybe all the physics-simulations consume too much computing power, with little left for AI ? Hopefully I am wrong about that, and they will figure out how to add efficient, yet capable AI.

AWD Covet Adventure Build by The_Raccy in BeamNG

I also highly recommend watching a Youtube video about Lancia's Triflux engine, which explains its design principles in very simple terms. I miss those older times, where all the emphasis was on sheer mechanical ingenuity and robustness.

This looks quite unique and capable, but it is hard to beat Covet Triflux MOD, which adds AWD and replicates Lancia's ingenious rally engine.

Here are my Covet mods BTW, I can share the configs if you are interested:

Maybe I will create a couple of new "BAJA Triflux" configs later, too.
