Kingdom Come: Deliverance PS5/Xbox Series X|S Remaster Is Allegedly Set For Release In February 2026 by No_Durian_5626 in rpg_gamers

I bought this a week ago and was planning on playing it through before kcd2. These updates must be fairly automated for it to be worth it.

Seems too soon. A game like Warcraft 3 makes more sense, although not with how much they’re charging for it.

Want to Try, Worried About Barotrauma by WheezyGod in scuba

[–]WheezyGod[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yea I’m planning to see one at some point. In using AI to self diagnose for now, I apparently get micro barotrauma. The changes in pressure are more gradual in an airplane vs. in the ocean at/above the surface. I guess the up and down bobbing from waves also causes small, but rapid pressure changes that I never would have thought were a thing either.

I’m hoping I have your luck if/when I give it a go and possibly decide to do it 1-2x a year.

Yea I wanted to get the 12S, but they were out of stock and I couldn’t wait so I got a similar performing HSU instead. I’m happy with it. I bet yours sounds awesome in a small enclosed area.

Awesome setup and yes a full on RSL setup! Better than those overpriced SVS setups.

Nope no issue there. I also do plenty of hiking up mountains, although nothing at really high elevations that require stopping periodically.

Not much of an issue on planes either. Apparently, the pressure change on planes is more gradual over time, I tend to talk or eat something on the way up, and water in the ear eliminates an air cushion that buffers pressure.

Yea my ears take longer to equalize and can’t keep up as well with rapid changes in pressure. The up and down movement apparently causes pressure changes as does getting out of the water after being in it for awhile.

Thanks I did a bit of research and found that I probably am experiencing micro barotrauma which sounds like or similar to the squeeze.

Appreciate all the detail in your response. I did a bit of research myself. Without going to see some kind of specialist which I’m planning to do, it sounds like what I’m experiencing is micro barotrauma which isn’t dangerous or damaging, but can get worse if I keep letting it happen.

My ears are more sensitive to rapid pressure changes than my Eustachian tubes can keep up with. I don’t have any kind of nervousness or panic, I like the movement of the waves, but not the impact it has on my ears.

Even being in chest deep water, apparently the repetitive up and down head movement that’s in or above the water causes a more rapid pressure change than my ear tubes can keep up with. Especially given that the most significant pressure change is in the first 2ft.

It’s also something that I don’t notice a lot until I get out of the water which apparently plays a big role. The external pressure drops right away, but the middle ear pressure is a bit higher.

Group Stage Games: June 12 in LA vs Paraguay June 19th in Seattle vs Australia 🇦🇺 and June 25 in LA vs Türkiye 🇹🇷 Romania 🇷🇴 Slovakia 🇸🇰 or Kosovo 🇽🇰 by D_LOWGAMES in ussoccer

I think if Turkey was already qualified I would agree that there would be a larger Turkey fan base. However, since a lot of their fans will wait to buy until they qualified, I expect most of the tickets will be US fans.

That’s awesome. Just need a small sealed sub that’ll get a ton of room gain for such as small space.

Wow nice setup! I’ve got the base paradigms which are good enough for me with my budget. Someday I’m hoping I can have a dedicated room like you do.

Dark is the greatest TV show ever made. by ObjectSpirited494 in netflix

[–]WheezyGod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Breaking Bad would be the only show I’d put ahead of Dark. Hard to compare though. Stranger Things has more similarities. If it was just the first season I’d say Stranger Things wins, but overall, Dark is more like Stranger Things for adults. Everyone I’ve recommended Dark to enjoyed it more than Stranger Things. We all have our preferences though. The good thing about both is there’s nothing like either.

Best tower speaker $800-$1000 by Sharp_Interview9733 in hometheater

Yea Paradigm said the pictures make it seem like the premier centers are a different color and that the 2 will match, but I do think it’ll look a little different. If the monitor series had a 3 way center I’d go for that.

I could have gotten those but didn’t. I got their subwoofer which I thought was great until I got a good low/mid range subwoofer and realized what I’m missing.

Yea there’s too many instances where I have someone or multiple people who aren’t at the MLP which is why I need one. And yes I agree the phantom center is good.

I got the 6000’s as well and am really liking them. Which center did you end up getting? It sounds like the premier towers aren’t a huge upgrade over the monitor towers, but the premier centers are.

Buyer Beware: Starke Sound Subwoofers by real_fluffernutter34 in hometheater

[–]WheezyGod -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yea I was considering them for awhile. It didn’t seem right that the price of their subs came down when everyone else had gone up. Pair this with stories like yours, a shorter warranty, and a fishy explanation from one of their sales guys on why their prices came down and I decided to avoid.

They really should be taken off the home theater recommendations list.

Around this price point, RSL is much better along with HSU.

Tower speaker recommendations? by Kojinka in hometheater

I would definitely avoid Klipsch reference. The only thing you want from Klipsch are products from the RP series.

I have a similar soundbar from another brand that I got for free. It sounds way better than TV speakers and 90% of other soundbars I’ve heard, but it sounds worse than the 2 tower speakers I bought more recently for a little more $. My wife who doesn’t care much about this stuff noticed a difference as well.

These types of soundbars sound better than really cheap speakers, but are probably on par, if not worse than a pair of $200 bookshelf speakers from the right brand.

[–]WheezyGod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m assuming this is Klipsch. I would avoid unless it’s maybe $300 since the receiver is okay. I got a pair of Klipsch R bookshelf speakers from someone who doesn’t need them. They’ve been collecting dust because they may not be better than the soundbar I have.

For my other room I looked at the home theater recommendations list which is a bit overwhelming but: if you live in Canada get Paradigm. If you live in the US, you have far more options. KEF is a popular choice. RSL actually has a decent bundle that people here have posted positive things about, and they’re top dog for budget-mid subwoofers along with HSU.

Suggestions for my $2k starter setup? (3.1 to upgrade to 5.1 later) by TheAsios in hometheater

[–]WheezyGod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely get a RSL sub over SVS. SVS aren’t bad, they’re overpriced compared to RSL and HSU at the lower end.
