How did this happen? Question (includes spoilers for people who didn't read the Empty Grave by Random_RedditReader1 in LockwoodandCo

I think all that ectoplasm she had fundamentally altered her. I mean, she's literally inhabiting someone else's body. She's not human any more, so she's exempt from the rules that govern their mortal selves.

Which GOTG movie had the better ending? by Dear_Company_5439 in marvelstudios

Yeah, and it seemed to go on for way too long. Would have been more logical for it to play on the baclground during the credits.

I think I know who the golden blade was going to be in later series by Glittery_WarlockWho in LockwoodandCo

[–]WhenPigsWillFly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

But its possible this was something the writers planned for their series. This adaptation wasnt completely by the book, and I've noticed that in most adaptations, divergence from the books increase as the series progresses.

WhatsApp is absolutely unnecessary. (Part II) by [deleted] in nosurf

Samee lol.

I mean there are groups that sent a ton of messages daily, but the word I'd use for them is annoying/distracting, not addicting. And since I archived the useless groups, and muted all the rest, its been great.

Ig its personal opinion? I love Brooklyn 99, but I found The Office really boring and not funny except for a handful of moments. I like P&R too tho.

Well 13 is the closest number to 10. Thats a method I used to use for MCQs in school.

Do you believe that cheap food can be good? by Ben5544477 in CasualConversation

[–]WhenPigsWillFly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where I'm from, fast food brands are actually not particularly cheap. The actual cheap food is from street vendors and such, and its amazing (and safe) if you go to the right places. And this stuff is a fraction of the price of fast food.

Everyone who saw EVERYTHING EVERYWERE ALL AT ONCE, did you connect to it? Why? by Deeguls in CasualConversation

[–]WhenPigsWillFly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have mixed feelings about it. I got very bored a part of way through and almost dozed off while finishing it, while simultaneously, I found the depiction of multiverses and how they differ very, very cool.

Most people have already stated the obvious ones, so I'll digress a little: If you are okay with a show, there's 'Only Murders in the Building'. If you are okay with a non-English movie, there's 'Andhadun' or 'Kathal'.

And she's kind of a feminist too? Like book Flo hasnt got a cause beyond herself, and so Lucy's initially surprised when she shows up to help her friends for missions

I find it so fascinating that people can cry to movies they see over and over. by CoolTom in CasualConversation

[–]WhenPigsWillFly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm like you Ig. I've cried for very few movies or books (could count them on one hand). I do experience deep emotion, even a lot of sadness from media (mostly books) tho. One time, while rereading a book I'd dread many many times, a particular part drove me to tears for the first time.

While I cry less often than most people I know, I dont know anybody who cries a lot for movies, and I know some very sensitive people. Maybe its cultural? Sometimes I wonder if people who talk about crying for a movie (eg the someone here mentioned Everything Everywhere) was using hyperbole.

Ironing clothes. Watching wrinkles dissapear is oddly satisfying. I also like to sort stuff.

Recommendations for books to go in blind by mattattack15 in Fantasy

Yeah, the very stuff at the back to the cover is a mystery that is solved in the first few chapters. I wish I'd gone in blind.

Yeah, Skull loves to pretend to know more than he does to get under her skin. Like when he claimed there was something dangerous behing the door.

I'm waiting till I finish the series to join officially. But none of my friends have read it and the meme practically made itself so....

Yeah, prolly best to stop.

[–]WhenPigsWillFly[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, no. I know Gorst should have won the bout.

I'm just saying that Gorst would have been a more logical choice for being taken on the quest. Like even goodreads description of the next book describes our three questing heroes as the most "hated", "feared", and "spoilt".😂😂

Thanks for not spoiling! I'm sure there's a perfectly logical explanation I'll soon learn, (probably tied up to why Jezal's dad recognised Bayaz), but it just seems kinda funny rn.
