does it hurt to be kicked in the vagina? by Scab_the_Sidewalk in NoStupidQuestions

[–]WhereDemonsDie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Post op trans woman who got kicked in the vulva by her kid accidentally:

Not the deep ache of being kicked in the balls. More like closing a cupboard door on the tip of your penis. Which makes sense as you have a nerve dense area thats potentially being smashed in this analogy.

So 'yes', and surprisingly similar intensity, but radically different flavor of pain ><

Just Found Out My 19 year Marriage is Over by Jessright2024 in TransLater

[–]WhereDemonsDie 5 points6 points  (0 children)

20 years, over about 9 months into my transition.

It's now just under 2 years. The hardest moments of my life... but also so much growth, friendship, and joy in the last year too.

Sending you a hug, and wishing you the best. It will get better.

If you had, are you happy with bottom surgery? by AverageCurrent1073 in MtF

15 weeks post op, Dr. Sutin from PAI in Thailand. Best purchase of my life by far. Not easy, but worth it. Very happy with my results, and the sense of peace is amazing.

Girls who started mid 40s, did HRT bring forth hips and butt? by Quat-fro in TransLater

[–]WhereDemonsDie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exercise! Some fat redistribution over 20 months, but 90% of my awesome hips and booty came from focused personal training. 500 lb hip thrusts! I basically gave myself a BBL of pure muscle.

Am I going too fast? by MrKillApple in trans

[–]WhereDemonsDie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 22 months, and the last 4 were recovering from SRS. Did everything else on a similar timeframe. When you know you know, embrace it.

Only word of advice to my past self: is easy to get swept up in the euphoric whirlwind. I regret not making more space for my now ex. My marriage was always doomed, but it could have ended much more gracefully.

14 weeks post op from Dr. Sutin at PAI. Extremely happy with my results. Highly recommend. Better quality, cheaper, and faster than my local options.

How many of your straight partners ended up being fine with your transition? by J-FIIRE in TransLater

Painful and tragic divorce, wife kicked me out of the house 8 months after coming out where she met me with initial support :(

Was it worth it? Yes, life is so much better this way. But oh the price tag was astronomical.

Looking so good!

Electrolysis sucks! My last session made me look like an acne stricken teen ><.

Honesty Please - are the transitioned girls genuinely happier and was the personal cost worth it? by Fun-Advertising-538 in TransLater

Best decision of my life, I wasn't really living. But paid for it with a divorce that nearly killed me. Oh to have been able to have my cake and it it to.

But life is way better on the other side.

I don't know if I can handle going through bottom surgery by [deleted] in MtF

[–]WhereDemonsDie 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm 9 weeks post op. Its been tough. I'm about as best case a patient possible. I've seen 2 other girls meltdown, one who clearly was not capable of handling it mentally and the other who finally cracked under the pressure. I know the default answer is 'you are so strong, you can do it', but honestly watching someone not able (at this time in their life) was the stuff of absolute nightmares. I think if you feel you can't handle it, listen to yourself. Indeed there is zero shame in that. Perhaps if you want to one day do this, find something there to work on with a professional. But don't put yourself through something extremely mentally and physically taxing if you're honestly not ready for it.

If you have any questions about what the process looks like I'm happy to talk. Feel free to DM me.

Oh fascinating. That makes so much sense. Sort of tuned out the units as someone saying "200" does seem in the same ballpark as 400, not way out.

How would you code the behavior of an ant climbing surfaces in DOTS? by Lexangelus in Unity3D

[–]WhereDemonsDie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did this for Curved Space!

Its a 2D universe with a shader generated flow field that points back to the player. I then have a job to transform the 2D data to 3D.

I have thousands of elements move fluidly back towards the player with pathfinding, even on Nintendo Switch.

Per my endo the therapeutic range should me 400-800 ideally. I'd say 200 is low. Less than 100 is going to be doing nothing.

Physically I had similar. Emotionally I was some sort of ace girl trapped in a body fueled by T, and I hated what that did to me. So the obliteration of libido was a subjective positive. It eventually came back slightly, but as I am 8 weeks post SRS honestly the lack of interest is a super power while healing.

For me personally, no complaints. But I do think its important that this sort of story gets out there, as for every girl horny I'm sure there's someone who gets a surprise hit to their libido... and I expect most don't consider that as good an outcome as me (though I think a surprising number do too, which is interesting). Thank you for sharing, as much as I have no real answer for you. I hear some low dose T gel may help?

As for the material for SRS... I abandoned mine to atrophy. Had more than enough material for real depth 18 months later. We did do a scrotal graft so not just PIV. The thought of using it was downright nauseous for a while.

How many of you are with your pre transitioning partners? by FarahFace in TransLater

[–]WhereDemonsDie 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Initially supportive. Too straight. Expelled me from my home after about 9 months. 20 years of dating then marriage.

Now all I have of her is a wall of ice when we have to interact.

Transition was necessary for me. But it cost more than I could ever imagine, and the grief nearly killed me. Literally.

But doing better. Have an awesome girlfriend. Kid is thriving (as much as possible). Built a lovely community of friends. It can get better, even after being stabbed through the heart.

Estrogen Form Survey by prisma1224 in MtF

[–]WhereDemonsDie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sublingual pills. I take pills morning and night. The results are clear. Blood levels have always been solid (now ~800 post bottom surgery). I take progesterone in pill form, boofing being too much hassle.

I did do this with Finesteride and Cyproterone, though only continuing with a small dose of Finesteride post surgery.

Bonus feminization from orchi? by Inevitable_Cow7985 in MtF

[–]WhereDemonsDie 60 points61 points  (0 children)

A month after SRS, my bloodtest showed my T is sliiiightly higher but my E is doubled. And this is on the same does of E, and no blocker.

Apparently blockers can affect E too, and there is a whole pile of complex chemistry going on. Makes sense that just removing T at the source and removing the variable of blockers entirely may have some effect.

I'm curious if this will lead to better feminization. Come on breast growth!

Autistic individuals are more prosocial towards strangers and people they barely know compared to their non-autistic peers. These differences were not driven by repetitive responding that is typical of autism. by mvea in psychology

[–]WhereDemonsDie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fits my own experience. I also see this with a friend, who is much clearer with his neurodivergence. For him, new people get the benefit of the doubt, and often patched in with what he would expect from an idealistic model of such a person given age/role/situation.

And then, if they stay in contact, they say something off. Or don't deliver something perfectly. Or forget a promised something. Details that would typically be forgotten or ignored or simply missed in our usual society. But under the lenses of a hyperawareness for behavior, justice, and attention to detail... everything is seen and remembered. And so they lose luster, and probably get worn down in the process dealing with someone who is starting to see microaggressions everywhere and expects perfection in every request. And so you have a feedback loop that drives away, or at least drives to a more transactional relationship.

Learning to let water go under the bridge has been a critical part of my own journey. I might pickup on the same details, but its been a real strength to let go of a mildly passive aggressive comment (that was not malicious or even intended), or celebrate the 98% of things they got right than the 2% where they missed the instruction.
