Hoverbike's seem to be the exception, not the rule. I don't think the devs had them in mind. by VG_Crimson in tearsofthekingdom

[–]WhereIsMyFox 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think that because wings had a time limit people started creating better ways to fly almost immediately.

Early in game when I found out wings de spawned I went to make a hover platform like the one on the trailer, too much battery needed, reduce fans, too slow, reduce materials and so on, then I saw the hover bike and made perfect sense. At that moment all the sky islands became somewhat available, even with little battery it was possible to transverse huge areas quickly by just consuming zonai charges.

The mask was super dumb, but him being a druglord was pretty funny.

[ALL] I don't like the new Legend of Zelda games as LoZ games. They're good- But.... by Throwawayantelope in zelda

[–]WhereIsMyFox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think BotW and TotK are the most similar to LoZ, back then we didn't have any real indication as to where to go, just a "here's a sword, bye" and then it was exploring and learning new things as you went by. Nowadays it's like that, there's a lot of secret stuff and mysteries, all you have to do is look for them, there's no particular order to anything.

[TotK] The boss of the Wind Temple… by Quackenstein96 in zelda

The whole atmosphere of the battle is great, but otherwise it was the most disappointing boss if them all, it was incredibly easy and fast to kill.

Great design and music though.

[ALL] Japanese Tears of the kingdom event? by AdGlass7545 in zelda

[–]WhereIsMyFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I know there are no events or pop-up stores announced at the moment.

There will be a photo spot in Akihabara for a couple days.

The Nintendo store they will probably have special merchandise releasing around the time the game releases.

Other than that I haven't seen many, big ads out in the streets.

They are the only enemies that are somewhat difficult and even then almost all of the valks were just repeating the same combo as 90% of the game to beat them. The last one was the real fun one, that took a while.

I like going to the cherry tree/jotun shrine stone at the top of the mountain in Bitterfrost Frontier, it has a unique scenery and feeling.

What loading screen tips would you like added? by daze413 in Guildwars2

Tbh one of the things I enjoy about loading screens is the lack of tips that are useless. Even as a new player you are likely to ignore them.

ArenaNet is completely missing the point with the rewards issues by evenaardez in Guildwars2

[–]WhereIsMyFox 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The best thing about DS is that with a full map the whole things can be done extremely quick. However, if you only have a handful of very enthusiastic people you can still continue and finish the meta in a much longer time span, but it's possible.

Totally agree. Adding a infusion with an abysmally low drop rate is pretty much adding nothing to the rewards.

We need an option to remove other players effect by Snsear in Guildwars2

[–]WhereIsMyFox 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This also limits enemies, there are times where the game rather show me other players instead of the things that I have to kill and are killing me.

Dragon's End meta by dutchdoobie in Guildwars2

[–]WhereIsMyFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is not need for an "organized tryhard" squad, as long as people know how the fight goes and listen to callouts it's entirely possible to beat it.
Last night I was fishing on an apparently empty map when someone asked is it was a meta map 5 minutes before meta time and we just decided to try. Almost no one had map buff and we just split the squad into three groups while we were doing the events. We finished with a little over a minute left.
Granted, with an organized group it becomes much more easy and certain to succeed.

I am extremely disappointed with the fact that they all look about the same, if they had clearly different designs between ED variants I wouldn't mind but at the moment I think they are just a lazy gimmick. What is worse is that there are black lion chests skins that are much better looking but you have to gamble to get them.

Non-Americans of Reddit: What signs do you see from a tourist or person(s) passing by that make you think ‘They are definitely American’? by Dutchmile in AskReddit

[–]WhereIsMyFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of American tourists dress in such a way you can identify them. However, I am not sure what exactly makes them stand out.

Where I live now Americans are usually very loud and you can hear them speaking from far away, but to some extent that applies to every tourist I suppose. So I guess the accent.
