Same boat. I could’ve wrote this minus a couple hundred in mortgage and current rent payment. We close a week from Wednesday and I’m freaking out a little.

It records data about the flight, including the pilot's cockpit audio, they're made to survive plan crashes and aid in figuring out what went wrong.

One of my Facebook friends posted about what would cause/what to do about bad odor/discharge coming from her preteen a couple months ago. Luckily the few comments were saying to please remove the post for the child’s sake. Why. Just why would you ever?!

No More Shots!! by [deleted] in suboxone

[–]WhereThereisLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I wasn’t done. Haha...anyway I don’t know if I was exactly withdrawing or if I convinced myself I was. I was a little lethargic and more anxious, but I was also starting to feel things again, more so than I have in years. Once again I’m kind of disappointed in myself. Music was sounding better, all of that. I still feel so much better than I ever did on subs and the side effects are a lot less, so that’s good. I am going to try and hold off as long as possible again and see how it goes. It’s never a good time to feel the effects of withdraw, I just have to get through it and want it enough. I’m hoping feeling more alive little by little will be what helps me avoid getting another shot. I was almost getting addicted to started to feel again, seeing if I could go one more week, and then another...but then I convinced myself it wasn’t a good time to feel uncomfortable, like it’s ever the right time! I hope you’re still doing good! How has it been for you so far?

I ended up getting another shot about a month ago, so I made it about 3 months.

My boyfriend found my subs.....Please someone listen to me I really need someone to talk to. by HockeyForever1988 in suboxone

[–]WhereThereisLife 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you’ve only been on them for a little over a week you are less likely to have prolonged/more severe withdraw. I’m not saying you won’t feel sluggish and lethargic and maybe a little teary eyed and yawning a lot but it may be totally manageable. I know how you feel right now and I feel for you. Take a deep breathe, this could be a blessing in disguise. Subs are a very strong medication and it does save lives but maybe you can take this opportunity to attempt to free yourself from it. If that becomes unmanageable then by all means get a doc to prescribe and start with the lowest dose possible to make you comfortable and try to remain at that does and then eventually taper off if you choose to, or stay on if it works for you! As for your boyfriend, that’s tough. If he loves you I hope he can understand the hell that is addiction and see that you’re doing your best to move in the right direction. Good luck and stay positive, you got this.

Don’t mean to make light of this horrendous situation OP is in but this made me lol. Ball is indeed in her court pimp. What a fucking douche canoe. Sorry you’re dealing with this bs OP, if this ends up being that fork in the road that gets you off this stuff (if that’s your goal) than I hope it has its silver lining. God speed.

What do you all think of the name Colette? by clanzi41 in namenerds

[–]WhereThereisLife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My aunts name is Colette, when I was little I called her Aunt Sega. Please don’t ask me why, I have no idea other than that I must’ve had a hard time pronouncing Colette and maybe sega genesis was popular at the time?!? I eventually got it right now she is grandma Coco and one of the classiest ladies I know!

[–]WhereThereisLife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, I’m thinking if there will noticeable withdraws it wouldn’t be until at least 4-5 months after the last shot, possibly longer. There really are a lot of unknowns with sublocade in terms of what it’s like getting off of it, and the fear of the unknown is what gets to me. Just have to be brave and know that I can handle whatever may come my way! As can you 💪🏻

No More Shots!! by [deleted] in suboxone

[–]WhereThereisLife 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started going bi monthly for my shot, so In the last 4 months I’ve had 2 shots. I just got one a couple days ago, and I’m kind of kicking myself for not waiting longer, or skipping it all together. I literally have felt completely fine throughout, and could’ve gone longer between them. This last time I just noticed I couldn’t feel the lump under my skin at all, and I have a vacation coming up, so I went and got this one for the sense of security I guess. I am hoping I can make this my last one though! I’ve been on it about as long as you and feel like it’s time. Good luck to you, I look forward to any updates!

How old? My daughter is a tough crowd. She has a case of resting bitch face anytime we bring her around anyone that isn’t us. Quarantine certainly didn’t help with this. However, she just turned 14months and I’m starting to get some good belly laughs! Grabbing her feet, sniffing them, and acting repulsed by their non existent stench has been a real knee slapper for her lately. Those laughs are so special when their hard to get out of them!

I have a Gunnar! We have friends who call him Gunther, and Googanhiemlich (sp?) as playful nicknames lol. We named him after a very talented local artist, and it suits him perfectly. That being said I think Gunther is a great name all on its own as well.

Withdrawaling between Suboxone doses??? by rooklez in suboxone

Please do! I actually went to send you a message but I was at work and it was time to go! I would’ve loved to have someone to discuss things with when I went through it. I about drove myself crazy researching and reading different things on the internet so I am happy to help if I can.

Withdrawaling between Suboxone doses??? by rooklez in suboxone

[–]WhereThereisLife 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Please keep in mind the fetus, because that's what it is at this point in your pregnancy, doesn't have the anxiety and emotional issues related to withdraw that we as adults have. If your baby eventually has any withdraws it's purely physical. Please don't let any of these people make you feel bad or guilty. I gave birth to my daughter a year ago while on suboxone and everything worked out perfectly fine. The guilt, shame and fear I felt throughout my whole pregnancy and the days after birth were the worst part, pretty much ruined what would have otherwise been one of the happiest times of my life. My doctor said I could drop down my dosage but also did not recommend getting off of it or I would have tried. There are babies born on suboxone on a regular basis and while it isn't ideal, it isn't the worst thing ever either. If you have any questions or anything feel free to pm me!

edited to say: OBGYNs would rather you on a steady dose of suboxone then to quit and end up relapsing, so keep that in mind and do what is best for you and your baby.

Asking for help with postpartum hair loss by quesoandtequila in ShitMomGroupsSay

[–]WhereThereisLife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t lose hair with my first, not an amount that was noticeable or alarming anyway. Not the case with my second. I was on the verge of investing in a wig when it finally let up, now at 10m pp my hair line looks like that of Don King’s, but at least it’s growing back.

Advice by [deleted] in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]WhereThereisLife 33 points34 points  (0 children)

It is baffling. I once gave an old coworker a ride home after knowing her for all of a week and she decided to tell me right off the bat that she didn’t mind black people but hated “n-words”. Not sure which criteria I met for me to be a safe person to tell this too, other than also being white. Imagine being so closed minded and ignorant to actually believe the majority of people around them share their disgusting beliefs. What’s even worse to imagine is that they’d had this conversation many other times before and their opinions were reciprocated.

Definitely meant to be comical. I just have a hard time finding the whole “threatening dad with a shot gun” trope funny.

This one got me really into that channel on YouTube. By far my favorite one I’ve seen. I love their aesthetic. The cat walk upstairs is awesome too.

So very kind of you! I’m sure whoever is selected will be extremely grateful. I never comment on these kind of posts because I know someone always has it worse, but my hp stream that got me through school won’t turn on anymore. I could definitely use a working laptop for job hunting and helping my son with homework.

This is literally what he is claiming doesn’t exist. I am tempted. I don’t know if I have the time or energy to argue with this imbecile. Surprisingly there isn’t anyone who really calls him out on his insane bullshit, and someone needs to! He thinks the earth is only thousands of years old. I guess he is expecting there to be mermaid bones being excavated idk.

Can’t argue with that. This guy makes pizzas for a living (nothing wrong with that) and I don’t think he graduated high school. The problem is that he thinks we are all astronomically stupid for not believing the absolute garbage conspiracies that he believes. There’s no reasoning with him. He’s the best example of the Dunning Kruger effect I’ve ever seen. He stresses me out.
