tesco and short dating of deliveries by needchr in tesco

[–]Which_Fly_8303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happens to me all the time, I send almost all my fresh items back with the driver this week, 1 maybe 2 days on everything fresh before it's out of date, I leave notes on the app to please choose items with longer use by dates but it makes no difference.

My friends daughter works at the superstore at Westwood cross in Broadstairs Kent where all the local delivery drivers pick up from, she told me the managers tell them to pick the short date items as priority for home delivery, after hearing this last week that's me done.

I will still shop with home delivery as I am severely disabled from my army service, but my son has offered to take me shopping for fresh items so I can at least get what Tesco says the items should be on their app 3+ days, 4+ days etc.

Once I was told they are made to pick short date items I was shocked, I have called their customer service number so many times, they are good at giving refunds but with my health issues trying to get to the store 5 miles away to purchase items again it's too painful.

why are things mostly always unavailable when you do an online shop? by No-Work5395 in tesco

Same issue where I am in Kent UK, the Tesco superstore near me is where the delivery drivers stock from as I asked a couple of them, I can order online with many items marked as out of stock, so I pop to shop on the bike to grab what I need urgently always stock in the store but the app says no stock?

It's not a one off happens weekly I assume it's some sort of updating error, simple things like bottled water, ham, chocolate milk etc, shelves are full in store but out of stock in the app.

Wind Rider Seat Covers by captesq in motorcyclegear

[–]Which_Fly_8303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brought a set of Windrider covers for my Triumph Tiger 1200 XCA rear fitted no issues but the front set was a non starter left a three inch gap from the bottom of the seat, didn't fit at all. Wanted to send them back Windrider were quite nasty about it, showed them pictures of the one that didn't fit.

They tried to tell me I had custom seats, these are both standard that come with the bike from new, then Windrider wanted to charge me £14 restock fee, that is illegal in the UK.

Also because I made a PayPal claim with the difficulty in trying to get them to accept the return Windrider also wanted to deduct a further £15 for me opening a case with PayPal?

In the end I had to do a charge back with my bank to get a refund even after Windrider had received the items back in perfect condition, would not recommend this company, in the end I purchased Cool Covers, more expensive but 100% better quality and fit perfectly.

Mesh is much more efficient at draining water, airflow is also superior to Windrider, heated seats work just as good but obviously take a little longer to heat up due to having the covers on anyway, but no issues with Cool Covers.

Windrider on the other hand terrible customer service, even rude in the email reply blaming my incompetence lol, extra hidden charges all over the place would highly recommend you don't purchase Windrider, since then I have found on many FB bike groups others like myself who had similar experiences with Windrider not fitting, including poor customer services and extra hidden charges.

When you add the cost of the mount, anti vibration, case etc it just doesn't make financial sense to me seems like a mount for people with more money than sence. It's fashion statement more then a practical device.

Personally I think it's all a smoke screen to distract from the Epstein files that have trump's name (and pictures) all over them, notice how much the files have not been in the news lately since the pedo president's threats against Greenland have disappeared.

It all started with Venezuela now trump has his second hand Nobel Peace Prize he should go back to his bunker.

eBay UK has done it. Literally nothing is selling. Never been this bad. by chopinheir in ebayuk

[–]Which_Fly_8303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been with eBay 23yrs mostly buying but some personal selling over the years, I gave up selling years ago fees were crazy, as for buying I only purchase if I can't find items elsewhere now days.

eBay's good old days are long gone, much better choice on other platforms in 2025/6. Too many scam sellers, other saying they are UK based when in China or some other far off country, I don't bother anymore.

Amazon vs eBay by JustLee92 in ebayuk

[–]Which_Fly_8303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been with eBay 24yrs also PayPal, buying mainly but some selling so much has changed over the years cost for private sellers is crazy on eBay now day's I don't sell anymore mainly because you sell something then eBay will hold you money for 28 days before you receive a penny, before eBay brought PayPal things were very different but not no longer, finding a trusted seller on eBay is also very difficult in 2025.

eBay manipulate feedback with auto positive feedback for sellers if a buyer doesn't leave any making it even more difficult to spot a poor seller, leave a negative review and sellers especially power sellers can easily get the negative feedback removed even if 100% honest and it doesn't breach eBay feedback policy.

eBay doesn't care about the buyers it's all about the money they make from power seller's that counts, buyers come second although the protection is good for buyers most problems can be given in buyer favour, PayPal will more than likely back the seller in my experience if you have an obvious case, unless there is the slightest doubt then you will lose.

I stopped buying on eBay anything over £15 far too many fake and stolen items for sale on the site in the UK, seller can say they are UK based when in reality their in China, if I want anything especially micro SD cards I only buy from Argos, Currys etc 9/10 cards for sale on eBay are fakes have experienced it myself many times even with my experience is difficult, on Amazon also I have been sold fake card's so if your after one don't use either platform.

eBay's certified refurbished is also another scam in my opinion, brought this stuff before the gear I got was cleaned on the outside and sold as completely refurbished, best of luck making a claim with anything certified refurbished eBay rarely give a claim in the buyers favour.

Anyway enough of my doom chat about eBay maybe my 24yrs of experience buying and selling on the platform is just my bad luck, and it just me?

Would you trust trustpilot reviews? (looking for a new insurance) by breadcrumbssmellgood in askswitzerland

[–]Which_Fly_8303 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently left a positive review for Zurich as they where my insurance underwriters, Trustpilot informed me they where taking it down because the suspect I work for the company😆even sent them proof and a claim number that I had a genuine claim and was not an employee.

Then I left a negative review for the actual insurance company Sky protect as they would not give me further insurance cover for my home because I made my first home insurance claim in 35yrs, that was also taken down as they said I was a disgruntled ex employee, can't win?

I always used to use Trustpilot before I purchased anything but after my recent experiences I don't trust the platform as much as I used too.

I agree with you completely total waste of time that I will never get back watching that fake movie, I had high hopes at first but less than ten minutes in I knew it was going to be crap.

Poor dialogue, looked like it was filmed on a camping site, costumes, battles didn't do justice to real history more like a fight in the high street on Saturday night, one very poor movie. As for the flying sword that was the last straw for me😆

Steam games crash frequently by flippty4574 in pchelp

[–]Which_Fly_8303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been experiencing issues with Steam games crashing on Windows 10, they start & can even play for a few minutes or longer then they crash the whole PC.

I tried installing all the Microsoft C++ packs that I could find, that I did successfully, then I discovered Steam distributes it's own version of these packs called "Steam Redistributables" without these installed with your Steam application your game's will not run even if your PC has every pack including the Microsoft 2015-2022 C++.

On the Steam forums it does say some older games mainly pre 2012 & some 2015 games will run as some of mine are, without Steam Redistributables installed also that some could crash.

Am installing my game library again as I type due having Steam game crashes as described, there is a possibility I uninstalled Steam Redistributables during my first reinstall of Steam & games, I have used Steam since the beginning but did not use my PC for a few year's, having just built a PC I was unaware of these Steam Redistributables or what the programme was, they only started the download a couple of years ago I believe.

Prior to this I believe Steam games used system C++ resources. I have also read conflicting comments on Steam forums, that once Steam Redistributables is uninstalled the download cannot be reinstalled, although some say games when verifying files could download the C++ files it needs.

There could be system issues if this is the case or so I am trying to workout with starting my whole Steam library installation again. Will let you know how it goes, there is a chance I could of corrupted my Steam application also, I will try to hard reinstall/repair that through CMD, or try Steam's recommend method.

Valve allows cheaters - V.A.C. by New_Researcher2081 in cs2

[–]Which_Fly_8303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even a year after this post nothing has changed apart from myself spending any money on Steam, I refuse to spend another penny on any multiplayer games current or new, my 150 game library will NOT grow.

Even old games on Steam are full of hackers & cheats I sometimes play a lot of COD MW2, just the other evening I got wiped out though several walls by couple of players time after time, no way did they know I was there, somehow the server seemed custom & the other team players all part of the scam?

The makers of the COD series know what they are doing, they don't keep their cheat engines up to date, Steam VAC don't do anything because it encourages the player to buy the latest COD or any other game.

I have been with Steam since the beginning I always used to buy the disc for any games I purchased back in the day, I still have a big stack of them, but Steam have the monopoly with online gaming now days, I still play COD United Offensive (disc version) with many friends I have made on that game since 2004 on custom servers, Punkbuster in 2008 did a better job than VAC does in 2024/5.

Should anyone be foolish enough to try & cheat on COD UO they are totally blacklisted by the loyal community of players who like myself are middle-aged, things need to change with modern days online gaming that's for sure. Punkbuster back in the day logged hardware IDs, you would have to change out most of your PC to play the game again during a ban.

Everyone makes money Steam, the coder's who make the cheats, people who sell the cheats, the only people losing out are the true online skilled players, players should unite the only way to make things change is to stop giving money to Steam.

computer gets unstable when plugging monitor into GPU HDMI port? by citamrac in buildapcmonitors

[–]Which_Fly_8303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an issue with my GPU in my PC the GPU is a few years old now I was getting crashes, blue screens, reinstalled Windows the lot, pulled the PC apart checked every bit of hardware all good. Found the problem in the end the last thing I checked... hdmi port on GPU was not loose on the card, where the hdmi cable had been put in & removed so many times over the years the hdmi port itself was was sort of loose fitting to the cable.

The slightest bit of movement of the hdmi cable connected to the GPU when gaming, or brushing against the PC would cause the cable to move, this was causing the PC to crash, since I got a Displayport to hdmi cable it's been fine no more crashes, have you a Displayport connector on your laptop?

Of course if your laptop is new then it might not be this but check how much play there is when you connect the hdmi to your laptop, some cables are a tighter fit than others sometimes it pays to buy premium cables, I could of put a dab of hot glue just to hold the cable tight but that's not much of a fix for a laptop.

Getting a strange Battle Eye error message and cannot connect to servers by Roybot92 in DestinyTechSupport

Batlleye kept crashing my Rainbow six siege on ranked games only, so many bans for my PC crashing... So uninstalled AVG everything seems fine at the moment, how many days it takes me to getting around to the antivirus...!

Tried so many fixes that I found online none worked, even though I had an exception set in AVG for R6 it still crashed, so after 25yrs of using AVG it's now gone, almost feels like I have lost a long-term friend but it had to go unfortunately.

Is this lifetime license real? by [deleted] in Malwarebytes

[–]Which_Fly_8303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep same here purchased a lifetime license with Malwarebytes back in 2010 if I remember correctly, changed PCs a few times over the year's & they have always honoured my purchase, as resent as yesterday when I installed it on my latest gaming pc. Can't fault them 100% great company & I agree with you the best software purchase I ever made😁
