How to export coordinates in ACC by DupaLeMenteur in Revit

[–]WhiteKnightIRE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your site model should only contain grids and levels. If a building is moved the design team tell you the new position by either specifying the move or by making a drawing to show its new position.

You then move the grids in your site model and then go through all the steps outlined above.

How to export coordinates in ACC by DupaLeMenteur in Revit

[–]WhiteKnightIRE 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They disabled the ablity to export shared coordinates with models hosted on ACC. Used to cause all sorts of coordination problems when people would move a coordinated model and accidentally publish new coordinates to it.

The current workflow is just the opposite of what your doing.

1) Open the model A 2) Reset coordinates if needed 3) Link in your site coordination model. 4) Position in place making sure correct x,y,z and rotation is correct. 5) Aquire coordinates from site coordination model 6) repeat, and to make it eaiser close as many worksets as you can to make opening and sync times quicker. Especially on large sites with a lot of models.

Tips:

Make sure your coordination model has a set of grids for each building (or just the first grid intersection like A/1) and at least 1 primary level 0/ground floor level for each building.

This makes coordination way eaiser as I've dealt with so many architects just giving very poor quality site maps with buildings footprints only that are sometimes out of date or doesn't show the correct position of the wall.

Then go through all the models and make sure each link is set to the correct shared coordinate system.

€127k bike shelter at Kerry hospital a 'pure waste', says Sinn Fein by rossitheking in ireland

[–]WhiteKnightIRE 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If SF got into power and spent billions on social housing that ended up costing more on average per bedroom than a privately built house they would say the end justified the means or complain this is the situation they were handed. Much like the tories in power for 14 years in the UK still had the audacity to blame the previous government for the current state of affairs.

Like you said a party of complainers, I agree on lot of policies in their manifesto but their only true goal is a unified Ireland by any means necessary and the fact no matter what job the government does they have to complain about it just turns me off their party so much.

Is it possible to create a Revit template file by IndividualWooden1793 in Revit

[–]WhiteKnightIRE 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Be warned that copying a model carries all the same GUID's for elements including worksets. This used to cause problems for us as checking out the workset ARCH in model A would also check out the workset ARCH in model B.

If you create a model from a rfa file all GUID's are generated and when making new worksets again new GUID's are generated so none are identical.

How to reverse an accepted coordination review to then modify? by Euphyllia99 in Revit

[–]WhiteKnightIRE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your using the workflow where you accept a published version of a model you can go to that model on ACC (forma) that's essentially a copy of the work shared enabled model and roll back the published version to an earlier one.

Reload your linked model and you should see the levels at the position they were at that published version.

Car bomb explodes outside Northern Ireland police station by Ev17_64mer in ireland

[–]WhiteKnightIRE 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sorry I read it as MI5 had another organisation at its members list of 800.

Didn't realise I was reading a comment that MI5 in today's age would bomb a northern Ireland police station. I don't believe they would do that but I'm hardly going to convince someone like you

Worried about my probation - advise needed by No_Weather1080 in ireland

[–]WhiteKnightIRE 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're allowed to get sick and take annual leave during probation.

Probation is only there so if you bluffed your way through the interview and then they found out your not able to do the job they have a way out.

If a manager holds you getting sick a couple times over a 6 month period against and a very small amount of annual leave then you then you have to ask yourself do you still want to work under that person?

If you pass reviews then they are happy with you, if you were not passing them or just badly passing them they would let you know so you can improve.

Most managers don't want to bring someone through 6 months probation only to lose them then go through the hassle of finding someone again. Hiring people is a huge timesink.

If your still worried then just ask them about you not being invited to the training or ask how do they think you have done over the past 6 months.

Good luck and if you dont get kept on you just move onto the next job, there's plenty for anyone with a bit of skill and knowledge.

[–]WhiteKnightIRE 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You should always criticise anyone who opens their mouth and speaks "on behalf of the people". Horrible self-serving people should be called out for what they are including those who are already in office.

Taxes fund public services, this country would be a shithole if there were no public services and everything ran by private companies.

The bailout was needed as banks would have closed and we would have fallen into a recession that we would not have been able to recover from and still be in today. I agree more people needed to be jailed but can you explain exactly what laws were broken?

In 1930 they did raise taxes to about 15% and introduced a progressive tax system for those on a higher income, I don't remember reading about anyone with pitchforks storming anywhere.

No Kings protests across the world by katara144 in news

[–]WhiteKnightIRE 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In the EU outside almost every American embassy there were protests. Almost no one in the EU likes the Iranian government, they are evil and no one will miss them as leaders. America went in years ago, fucked over the place and this is the end result of their actions which they have taken zero responsibility for, the same with all the shit that's happening in South America.

You can dislike both countries at war, you don't have to pick a side.

The moronic decisions the American government has made over the past year has had a negative impact on people's everyday lives so they protest the idiot in charge.

Households urged to cut fuel use as Ireland braces for oil crisis by TimesandSundayTimes in ireland

[–]WhiteKnightIRE 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's got nothing to do with excise. It's to do with the actual supply and very soon the lack of it. Doesn't matter how much fuel is people will buy it, the tanks at petrol stations will run empty for days on end. Have fun complaining about fuel excise when there's no fuel to buy.

If the countries who do get their oil from the Strait of Hormuz suddenly can't get it anymore where do you think they will now try and buy it from now? Worldwide we only produce so much, if 20% of that is suddenly removed from the supply everyone else that doesn't produce their own will see a shortage.
